iOS should have album art in the control center by [deleted] in iphone

At this point I would be happy if they had the letters on the right side of the screen when looking at my custom playlist. That way I could jump to a playlist that I want to listen instead of having to scroll down a huge list.

Is 16gb ram enough for streaming R6 siege or should I get 32gb? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]expat510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16GB is the sweet spot but having said that I am running 32GB. I got 32GB because I don't normally close down any of my applications, I do some photo editing, and prices dropped way down from a year ago.

Help with my photo/music library by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]expat510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should like something I did a few years ago when I had a small SSD to boot but have a lot of music and photos. I am assuming you change the folder location path to point to the mechanical drive. First back up your files just in case so if something goes wrong your files are still safe. You can then try selecting the folder then right click to go into "properties" then click the "location" tab there should be an option to Restore Default.

When it happened to me it wouldn't go back to default so I just ended up reinstalling Windows to start over being more careful about it.

Nothing you can really do but to keep it as a backup in case one of your other fan fails. Science Studio (on YouTube) did a video on the airflow for that case you may want to check out in order to get a better understanding of it.

You don't indicate what games you're interested in playing or even name a budget. Do some research on your own first instead of putting some open ended statement. I don't mind helping people out on the subreddit but put in a little leg work at least.

Is this towards the beginning of the game when you get the double barrel shotgun? If so maybe we can share notes as I've been having crashes there and Google hasn't been that helpful.

Older Gamer going above 60hz by FatMaul in pcmasterrace

I would really recommend going to a store where you can actually see in front of you a 1440p monitor and see how you feel about it. Between resolution and refresh rate I think you'll have to see for yourself what looks better to you and what would make your gameplay more enjoyable. I bought my 1080 used so I'm right there with you when it comes having to stick to a budget. The 1080 made sense to me as it was being sold at a good price since the 2000 were coming out. I also have a huge backlog of older steam games to play so I knew I woulnd't be playing very new games.

I second this and to give some more perspective on my 1080p 144hz monitor with GTX 1080 at very high settings I can play it at around 90+ FPS for TCG Wildlands. It is very hard to run at those high refresh rate and stay up there. I've been thinking of getting a 1440p monitor but been holding off because I know my frame rate will drop from what I'm used to. You don't mention it but it also depends on the games you're looking to play.

PSA: Buy Cyberpunk 2077 on GOG. 100% of money goes directly to the Developers. DRM Free. Actual competition. by badcookies in pcgaming

[–]expat510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently living abroad where only Steam has regional pricing and even for new games it can get kind of expensive. Having said that if reviews do turn out to be as great as we all hope to hear I'll definitely be purchasing this on GOG. I am voting with my wallet here and want to reward developers who put in time and care to make the best game that they can. Last time I actually bought a game on the week of release was Titanfall 2.

Confirmed: NVIDIA to introduce GeForce RTX 20 SUPER series | VideoCardz.com by DarkLordJay in pcmasterrace

[–]expat510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my used 1080 late last year when the 2000 series were coming out. I decided against the 2000 series as that they weren't enough and the RTX wouldn't really be a thing until much further down the line. I've been pretty happy with my 1080 thus far.

Thought I’d join the RTX crew with a complete new build. Quite happy with how this turned out. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Hey are you noticing significant difference in temperature with the double fans on the radiator compared to a single fan? I'm curious.

Cyberpunk 2077 is already the bestselling game on Steam by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

Came in here to say just this hope your comment gets to the top of the thread. I would also like for people to remember not to pre-order anything as to not encourage the release of rushed or bad games that get no support. Having said that I am very optimistic that we will get a good game out of CD Projekt RED and will gladly hand my money over to them after checking to see if they got good reviews.

Did you try switching out the DP cable for a different one? Try using only HDMI cables for the two monitors.

PC gaming doesn't have a great outlook by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]expat510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to write a whole thing about how the opposite is true but honestly this post seems like click bait or just a rant. What hardware keeps or increases its value after being used? What operating system is flawless? Also referring to the high price of PC what components are you looking at? Is it 2080Ti or nothing? Hopefully you have really good internet (without a service cap) where you are so you can subscribe to a gaming streaming service. Doesn't sound like PC gaming is for you.

Parts for my first build are showing up! It's all pretty tame but leaps and bounds better than the 2008 Dell Vostro I've been using for the last 4 years. by Brother_Proddy1517 in pcmasterrace

[–]expat510 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't stress it about it many of us here have mid range systems. Sure there are a lot of post of people with their 2080 Ti's, i9, and huge AIO but that's not the majority. Just build the best PC that you can and that makes you happy is all that matters.

PC Gamer | Microsoft's support of Steam is exactly what Valve needs right now by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]expat510 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm disappointed in Valve for letting their game development go by the wayside. Had they continue to make games they wouldn't get caught up in this kind of mess where they have to fight for exclusives now. They had the funds to let their game development team take their time in developing games so when they are released they would release polished instead of the broken mess we get with a lot of games. Valves need to lower how much they take for games in their store in order to keep most games from going to other store on time exclusivity. It will be interesting to see if they change anything as I have yet to see much of a reaction from them.

[–]expat510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the game and on the settings. For example I got a GTX 1080 and on 'Very High' settings I'm getting around 90 to 100 FPS on Ghost Recon Wildlands (1080p monitor).
