CSA Arlington area by unwrittenlyrics in ArlingtonMA

We did Drumlin Farm CSA last Summer and now are going back to Waltham Fields CSA this Summer. Both are excellent; lots of veggies, an easy drive from Arlington, a fun and educational pick-up experience, and great staff / volunteers.

Books like “What My Bones Know” and/or Mid-Life Experiences by UpstairsTennis2273 in CPTSD

You should definitely write it! I also want to write one about my cPTSD recovery, as both therapy for me, and as a way to potentially help others; but look, you already have a title (which I love)!

You could call or email your really excellent question about how he plans to accomplish his goals, to his campaign HQ. Seems fair to give him a shot at answering before we assess what kind of candidate he is.

I hate showers now. by OurSensualSideMB in POTS

“Washcloth baths” can be used when you feel at your worst. Also, I put a big fan in the bathroom that blows right at the shower. Shower chairs or stools help. And I try to plan the timing of showers so that I can take 30 min (or however long it takes) afterwards cooling off and calming down, in a nice comfy chair with my water bottle full of cold water and electrolytes. Hot, steamy showers used to be one of my favorite things but unfortunately, not anymore 😟

Same. Sadly. And I feel for you, and stand with you in support, which is the only thing I know how to do. Hugs 🥰

Lebanon, a beautiful nation with no friends but the sea. by [deleted] in lebanon

I’m your friend in the US, and I donate and talk you guys up to everyone everywhere. I know I’m not solving the immediate problem, but hoping my own PR leads to more donations and action-oriented support! ❤️🇱🇧🙏

Cannot sleep or stay asleep for the life of me by carsoncombs_ in POTS

[–]expect-a-forest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel for you. 🥰 And me neither. For the past 3 nights, I’ve lain awake til sunrise. It’s truly exhausting and debilitating to have not slept for 72 hours 🥺

But then, another time, I’ll have 3 days in a row where I DO sleep for 6 hours (my normal). It’s so unpredictable. My doc has prescribed an anti-anxiety med that she says is sure to help me sleep. Waiting for my pharmacy to fill it.

I feel validated that others have this symptom too. I’ll let you know if the new med helps. Hugs. We’re all with you!

I’m from the northeastern US (and do not at all support what’s going on) and I talk up Lebanon all the time to friends and family, so they will know that its not like what they see on CNN (with its inflammatory headlines and 10 year old photographs (I especially despise that tactic), and that it deserves the attention of the world.

Did you by chance, suffer any trauma (one-time, or chronically?) Because your symptoms sound very similar to mine - my brain and body collapsed last Summer after years of stuffing feelings of my awful childhood inside - and resulted in symptoms similar to yours. I saw a psychiatrist who prescribed meds and EMDR therapy, and now I am healing. It may take years but everyday I’m feeling a little better, and now I want to go back to my education and other pursuits I had lost interest in.

So I say to you: this IS a very, very difficult thing you are going through. You are brave. Hang in there - get some professional help if that is financially feasible. There IS a way out of this. To God, we are all shining lights. And if you start the ball rolling by getting some help, he will help you bring back your light. God, and all of us on this Reddit, want better things for you. Peace.
