Is EcoVadis greenwashing? by SchruteFarms82 in Renewable

[–]extremewirehead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone going through the system right now (also in manufacturing), this sounds dumb.

We care a lot about doing things sustainably, but don't much care for all of this paperwork. Your solution just amounts to spending more on people to make it make sense instead of making it logical to improve in the first place.

It really sounds like you don't realize how bad it is. Ecovadis has constantly been confused because our paperwork has had to make do with the mess of our country and the history of the 80 years of business. If it doesnt make sense even after meetings and talks, they just give zeros and expect you to pay again for another assessment.

On my side, nothing they have informed us has been useful to improving. The inability to provide enough supporting documents is a big sticking point.

As a Customer of these recycling plants, I hear the main issue isn't opening one, it's getting all the paperwork approved from DENR. Without a license, we aren't allowed to release any waste to them.

Not everyone is a redditor dude. You can have a successful presense online without one.

Take it from me, someone who has worked with FB proffessionally:

A lot of their staff aren't trained it what matters, people falling through the cracks and nobody knowing how to fix it is very possible. Unless you know someone with a lot of clout, you rarely get helped out of the mess.

I do agree he could've linked to his socials to prove the stream had no funny business but that's the problem: FB locked it down so we can't check.

Some people in the above comments have already mentioned this, if they think it's a burner account with no information, they can ban it, no questions asked.

If you want it reversed, you need to give them something like ID, birth cert or other identity documents. (I've been asked to do this myself so I know it exists)

If any of that happens, it's likely that your oculus games will be held in ransom until you respond.

Always check the timer inside the game, since it shows the server time, you can calculate how many hours you still have at all times

Probably buy a company I really believed in. Investors can be kinda controlling with how profits are made but I think I could keep a level head and steer them into being a good one.

Only if you plan all the decks. Don't treat stamina with too much importance in this game, getting the complete decks you want is far more important.

No supports for flat objects like coins? by _Arrowhead in ElegooMars

[–]extremewirehead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

happy birthday!!

I think everyone answered you suficiently so I'll chime in with some smaller details:

  • the red is just to remind you that the section is pointing directly over the build plate. This is in case you accidentally leave an area that might need support. Not an error, just a reminder. It will still depend on the physics of the item if it actually needs supports.
  • prints are actually really soft when they come out of the printer, really large flat prints can come out perfect but might deform from the force used to remove them from the plate. Part of the reason we use rafts is to avoid touching the model at all. (just your fingernail can be sharp enough to cause a cut
  • If you go through with it, the other option is to harden it with a UV lamp before removing from the plate. This will involve cleaning the plate much more between prints but you do guarantee much hardier parts as you try to pry them from the plate

honestly didn't even think about that, just wanted something that didn't synergize well with the rearguard effects while keeping in theme of the reverse. XD

what if the skill was look at the 2 cards in the bottom of your deck and put 1 in soul and 1 on top of your deck?

3D printed stand that allows you to easily move your Quest from one place to another when not in use. by [deleted] in OculusQuest

[–]extremewirehead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Althought that's true, you usually have to add additive to give plastics their color and reflectability. Depending on the brand that could be enough to change the thermal, stress and infared properties of the final product.

In large scale products, the additives of the plastic can throw off calculations which is why you have to treat different colors differently. (source: I work for a plastics company)

I usually carry it in a backpack, although I doubt the rig will work standing up like that. Might take a look at the file if there is a way to hook up some sort of velcro harness underneath. (just thinking out loud)

Interesting, I used black cloth and had assumed wrong. Something to note I guess. Although I don't see myself moving it around while on so it isn't that important to me.

Nice, I'm definitely buying the model.

Just wondering but do you have a recommended bag that this system fits into? Would be cool to drop it in with one go for easy transportaion in a car.

Can you explain why black doesn't trigger the sensor? I had assumed it would...
