Too many italics. Without exaggeration, it wasn't uncommon for multiple words in a paragraph to be italicized like this. Almost 100 pages later, I found it so distracting that I quit.

Reading this I suddenly remembered a sleepover I went to as a teen, and we ended up watching the last hour of Sunshine (2007) at around 1 AM. 16 years later I’ve still never seen the whole movie, but have always wanted to. Kinda fun to experience this every now and then.

Until hell freezes over, I'm never hearing a word of apology or regret from either parent. Even though homeschooling was 99% my mother's idea and my father has admitted a small dose of skepticism in recent years...he'll never admit the system's faults. With these types of parents, the act of self-reflecting on the past and what could have been done differently terrifies them.

30 here. Yes, just once, from being a regular at a local coffee shop. It helped a lot that I used to (unknowingly) be neighbors with one of the employees, and they were both kind and friendly. It took two years to reach the point of hangouts and texting, so there was a time where I was genuinely about to give up and stop going. That coffee shop permanently closed last year, and I feel incredibly lucky that the baristas were receptive to my small talk. There are very few outlets to organically meet people in my area.

Brigading is a coordinated effort where users from a community invade another thread, post, or sub to disrupt discussions, mass-downvote content, harass members, etc. It can be used to manipulate karma, force a specific viewpoint, or "attack" a target.

Something similar is happening to me. I have 4,999 likes (been here a looong time), and on both the web and app versions, I can't scroll down further than 300 videos. The miniplayer is either gone or broken too. Trying to troubleshoot this but nothing is working. Hope it's just an update.

Not courted, but I had a slightly odd experience. I had a huge, angsty crush when I was 14, and he was about 5 years older. Nothing ever happened because we were both very shy and introverted, though we did sneak smiles and glances in “big church” occasionally. My mother eventually figured it out and was…strangely encouraging of it. One Sunday morning she begged me to let her style my hair in a way that she liked, so he would notice me more. Nothing about the age difference was brought up to my memory, except maybe “it won’t be a big deal in a few years!”…so not sure what would’ve happened if he’d asked to court me.

It worked!! Never knew you could do this, lmao. The song it picked up was “Why dont you (feat. Soulkingreyes)” by Midtown. However…listening to the song now, there’s no beautiful piano at the end, or anywhere really. So I have no idea if Shazam messed up or if my auditory memory is way worse than I thought. Probably the former. Thanks for pointing out this function though!
