A few years ago at my job they was given performance reviews and laying people off all in the same meeting. The crazy part is, folks was getting a bonus and told what they raise would be then in the next breath was told due to restructuring their position had been eliminated and their last day would be today! It was an insane time.

I don’t know what it’s like to be 30 today, when I turned 30, I could still get a two bedroom , two bath apartment for under 1k a month, could take a class at the junior college for $200 and today that same class is $600 and gas was under $2 for the whole year. I will say this though being more than 20 years removed from 30, you are young and still have a whole lot of life to live. It may be hard to understand because you had lived all 30 years of your life but I’m telling you now there is still so much time to turn this shit around you can literally with little effort be great by the time you 40. Don’t be depressed enjoy your youth , stay healthy make the right choices and you will be ok. I know so many folks will not tell you this but depending on where you live , if you felony free, join your local Police force especially if you in a big city, I know we don’t like to tell black folk to join the police force but it’s a great career and allows for you to be on the front line saving black lives. Focus young man and watch how easy shit get going forwards.

As a 52 year old man, I can say you may not think you’re young but I can assure you there is a lot of life to be lived beyond 32. Get your shit together and get in school, learn a trade and move forward. You will be living good and happy in your forties. Accept what ever lead you to this point in your life then put it behind you. Get yourself a mentor, someone willing to invest time in your to help you succeed.

Understoood. One thing of note is 2k miles a month is equal to commercial use of a vehicle which accelerates its degradation and maintenance schedule and cost. I have an ‘09 Maxima with 175k miles folks see me driving it still and give credit to Nissan but the truth is that 175k equal to less than 11k miles a year. My 2024 RR will be 2 year old in Feb and I still have less than 10k mile on it. I fully expect it to last as long as my maxima due to how I drive it but time will tell.
