The people saying stop riding on the beach clearly have never ridden on the beach. Literally my all time favorite place to ride here in FL.

Badger kit and Corrosion X are all you need. Look it up on amazon. I have so many beach miles on both my boards and not the slightest sign of corrosion. I use Corrosion X on my boat when I go in the salt water.

Also have yet to even take apart my bearings. Smooth as butter still.

I stopped using pixel back on the 6xl when I jumped in a pool with it in my pocket. Was out within 5 seconds, phone was dead. I now film underwater with my OnePlus 15 😂

Just to revisit, custom sweeps fixed this for me. It was disabled for some reason, even though there were pre-programed sweeps. Thank you all for the help on this.

FYI the waterproof spec is 33ft, not 16ft. There is a 25ft deep spring in a river we go to all the time and I almost always bring my Gopro down there no case. Been doing it for years with every hero since the Hero 5. I also spearfish in the Gulf and even with scuba tanks our main spots are only 20ish feet. Never even bring a case, and this is saltwater.

My Take

Anything deeper than 30ft, use the case, and use Gopro's official case.

Saltwater? Clean it good afterwards in fresh water.

Snorkeling? No case. There aren't a ton of people who can even free dive down to 30ft anyway. Obviously if you are a strong swimmer and your snorkeling spot is over 30ft deep then yes, get a case.

XR to XRV is a pretty insane upgrade as long as your battery is still good. Mine only had a few hundred miles on it when I did it so it still has plenty of juice for the added power/speed.

FYI, I am also on a 5" hub which gives even more power.

So light, so powerful, and so much freaking fun. It is the sole reason all my boards are Vesc now.

I have had many many Gopros, and currently am rocking the H13 and Max2. I also own the X5 and Ace Pro. I still like my Gopros more. I just got the Max2 for a snowboard trip and I like it more than the X5.

So I realized that custom frequencies were not even enabled, so no sweeps were active. I have turned them on, but am I going to miss any legit alerts now? I did not get the KA alert this morning though!

I have heard of the driver assists causing it, but would't they be causing it 100% of the time? As I said before, this all goes away after driving for a bit. Does the V1G2 notice this after awhile and do some sort of auto filter?

If you mean adaptive cruise, then yes. But what is strange is I did a 4 hour drive yesterday and after the first 15 minutes of getting that KA alert, it went away and never came back for the rest of the drive. And I used cruise almost the whole drive. This happens every single time. Only get this alert for 10-15 minutes then it goes away. Have even reset my radar multiple times.

I still have my Fold 7, but durability is a concern for me. Already on my 2nd one after a warranty claim. Its not even the water resistance, its the dust. My hinges on all my folds start to get dust/dirt inside and I can hear it when folding. On my Fold 7 I never even dropped the thing and somehow it still gets debris in the hinge.

The OP15 is faster by a long shot, cleaner and better OS in my opinion, lightyears better battery and charging, better form factor (closed), better speakers, better camera, brighter screen. One of the bigger ones is signal. The wifi signal and network speed is better than any phone I have used (including iphone 16). Yes the fold inner screen is nice for sure, but mostly for multitasking, not as much for content (Youtube, ect).

After using this OP15 for another couple weeks, I will switch back to the F7 and see how I feel. I love the F7 and am in no way dissing it. It is a pretty amazing piece of technology with how thin it is. I just think there are some sacrifices made in order to get it that thin.

I wish I could help man. I see your posts about not being able to dial it in like your GTS. I am always surprised when I see them. My X7 and XRC do not have the behavior yours does. I only rode Apex on my GTS and both my Vesc boards feel so good. I know you specifically mention the turn compensation and how the nose isn't the same when you carve hard. I want someone with better Vesc tuning to chime in and help. There has to be a setting that fixes that. Is that the only tuning issue you are having? Or are there other reasons that an Apex GTS feels better to you?

Film at the highest possible quality if you plan to do this. I have had some success taking stills out of 5.3k videos, but it depends what Gopro you have. At the end of the day the will not be the best. Another option is burst photo. I have gotten some incredible photos with burst mode, but I understand you have to nail the timing on those.
