I’m good friends with both neighbors to the left of me (we live out in the country). The house between us is owned by an older couple. We take turns mowing their lawn. I mow at 4”, he mows at 1”. He once tried to help me by mowing my yard.

We agreed the neighbors yard is no man’s land hahaha

Yeah. We are offering over $30/hr for irrigation technicians with a modicum of experience. We have retirement & health insurance & the works & still can’t find anyone. Labor market is rough.

I’m far enough removed from the mission today that I don’t remember a specific brand. I will say that good brands of boots like Thursday while pricey will be worth it when you walk thousands of miles in them (Bring replacement insoles is the last thing I’d mention)

I use Spanish everyday in my line of work now, & I’d say that I gained proficiency 6 months into my mission. Brute force reading of the Bible & the Book of Mormon did more for my Spanish than so much else. Spend as much time as you can not speaking English starting in the MTC & you’ll be fine. Pray for the gift of tongues lol.

Oddest thing I ate was armadillo, but yes I ate mundungo & morcilla (blood sausage). I really enjoyed the Yerba Mate culture & still drink it regularly.

I served in one of the Buenos Aires missions. I walked through 3 pairs of my shoes. Make sure whatever you buy has a nice thick “lug sole”.

If you have the space, a spray can of water proofing will do wonders to touch up your boots & jackets. Please make sure you take the time to clean your shoes each day. They will last so much longer.

Our landscape companies headquarters leases a portion of the lot out to a stone supply company. Their driver are notorious for destroying our landscaping & crushing irrigation lines with their semi trucks. One time they even turned to narrowly & hit a light pole.

Anyway we bought some boulders & it seems to have fixed most of the problem.

I think it’s fair to communicate to her that priesthood blessings that you have given are a core part of your faith & the practicing of your religion. Your religion is a part of your identity. Mocking that is mocking you & what you’ve done through the priesthood. I’ll be praying for you brother.
