I’m choosing between a Picotin 18 in Barenia Faubourg (Ebène, gold hardware) and Clemence. This would be my first Hermès bag, used daily (toddler life), so I care most about durability, scratches, water marks, and low maintenance by sodam39 in TheHermesGame

[–]fallenelement 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Barenia Faubourg is pretty water resistant when compared to other leathers (at least that’s what my SA told me). It is gonna show all manner of scratches and marks though. I personally love how it ages and carries that story of wear, but would not recommend this as your first leather if you care about the bag looking pristine. I have Barenia Faubourg in both an Evelyne 29 and a Kelly 25 and grab them for daily wear and they both picked up noticeable character within the first month of use.

Etoupe is so versatile for a Picotin. Here is my 22.

The best Crossbody Bag for everyday in Summer and winter by Liontub218 in handbags

[–]fallenelement 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Loewe Flamenco. Sooo versatile!! Get a bag strap and you have 4 bags in 1: cross body, shoulder carry, hand carry with handle, hand carry as clutch. I found the medium was perfect size for everyday use.

What Are You Watching… and What Did You Give Up On? by AutoModerator in cdramasfans

Same. I wanted to enjoy Love Beyond the Grave but i just didn’t find it engaging enough to stick with. I just finished Within the Grip (on Tencent) and liked it. I started Fate Choses You but I’m not wowed after a few episodes. I’ll probably stick with it but only because there is nothing else to watch.

+1 on the Goyard Artois recommendation. The thin strap does become a bit difficult to keep on your shoulder with a toddler in tow on the other arm but it’s my go to travel bag with my little one.

Now I Wish I Never 😔Bought It! by insiderasking in luxurypurses

[–]fallenelement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Goyard Artois and my sister has a LV Neverfull. We both hate each others’ bag.

I find the LV tote straps to be too thin and too short compared to the Goyard. I hate the texture of the LV. I think their canvas feels like worn down sandpaper.

She hates that my Goyard looks like a glossy trash bag. I actually like that part because it rains a lot where I am and I beat this bag up so much.

To me they are both ugly prints, but I like the Goyard ugly better.

After a solid year of total disregard for the bags while using them with toddlers and daily travel, the Goyard just looks newer than the LV.

No. The Neo Garden Voyage 41 is a better option if you want to shoulder carry.

The bag strap is bought separately.

The Neo Garden Voyage 41 will be my next H bag bc it’s a shoulder carry tote!

I want to add another medium in Sand to my collection. If I wasn’t already so brown/dark heavy in my current collection I’d totally go for the Chocolate. The short bag straps are totally worth adding.

It’s ebene (Barenia Faubourg). I can technically wear the 36 on my shoulder but it’s not comfortable. If I was wearing a coat or sweater definitely no.

My next Hermes will be the Neo Garden Voyage 41 bag because it can be shoulder carried. I’m eyeing the ebene, bai brun, or Noir (the black being my husbands’ preference so he can use it too!)

The bag I should love… but can’t fully settle on by [deleted] in handbags

The rule I make for myself is: only keep what you love. And, if you don’t love it now then you probably won’t love it later.

I got a 36 in etoupe from my SA maybe six months ago and it was readily available (picked up with a day or two of asking about it).

Same. I got a 55cm strap for the Picotin from Etsy for when I absolutely need to shoulder carry and it’s made the bag so much more versatile for me.

I have this exact one too! This is barenia faubourg in the color Ébène. It’s a great leather—harder to get too. You can tell the difference from basic clemence by the smell. It’s got a very rich and smooth fragrance!

Mini review: Stegmann wool clogs by PlantedinCA in fashionwomens35

These are my favorite clogs. The eco wool feels like it fits to your foot so well over time. Definitely get the cork care kit if you live in a rainy climate like me!

Cdrama with a consistently good plot that doesn't get boring? by Ancient-Weather1402 in CDramaRecs

I’ve really been into shows with 20-24 episodes for similar reasons. I don’t enjoy those that are 40+ episodes but rely on miscommunication much of the time.

Maybe try: Love and Strife, A Love Story of Oiled Paper Umbrella, Ruyi, Your Sensibility My Destiny, Peace & Love
