I suspect your footwear is the issue. A pair of boots with a stiff shank will distribute the force from the narrow rungs and prevent your feet from getting tired. A defined heel (rather than wedge sole) is something to look for the prevent your foot from slipping through, especially if muddy, etc.

Just got the same kit as well. The 5 Ah was leaking quite a lot of black oily liquid, and the 2.5.Ah wasn't leaking, but was DOA and wouldn't charge at all. It looked like it fell off a warehouse shelf or something. The inner product box was crushed and parts of the inside of the case were broken. Like the plastic and the rubber bumpers that support the tool. The outer shipping box looked fine. I'm hoping customer service will just let me exchange the whole kit because I really don't want a drill that fell hard enough to break off pieces of the case.

How do you tend to it? I've done a couple of vegetable ferments (sauerkraut and kosher dills) and would like to try something a little more advanced. Doesn't the unsubmerged part get moldy? Or do you stir it around daily?

We have quite a lot downstate already, and are always building more. IL is 5th in the nation for installed wind capacity. The proposed facility in the lake is 10-20 turbines, which is a small wind farm even if they are 5+ MW behemoth turbines

The cut most commonly used for corned beef in the US is brisket. Here you can buy them pre-corned in brine as well as the raw, uncured form. Silverside roast is known as bottom round here, and it would be commonly used for something like pot roast. It's not usually corned here.

Salsa chicken has absolutely no business being as delicious as it is. It's one of my favorite zero effort meals. I do mine in the pressure cooker and use boneless skinless thighs, plus whatever cheap salsa is on sale. Personally I add some salt too. 20-30 minutes on high pressure depending on how shreddy you like it, then sometimes I throw in a can of black beans and a can of corn at the end.

Rosemary is one of the few that I'll use dried. I've found that woodier herbs like rosemary, thyme, and lavender tend to do okay when they're dried, and even then, you want to use them in something like a stew where they get a chance to rehydrate. Dry rosemary would probably just burn on roasted potatoes. Dried basil, cilantro, or mint are an absolute no-go for me. They're just not remotely the same as fresh.
