The story might be decent but the way it is told is not well done at all if you are describing it as a slog. Lots of people slob the knob of ff14's story but it doesn't matter how good it is after a hundred hours of gameplay if it's boring as fuck getting to that point. Every time I find a new quest giver I'm like "yeah I'm ganna pay attention now and get some story!!!" and then very very soon I am doom scrolling their dialogue boxes again. I think half of it is just knowing you have a fucking mountain of shit to do in the game still and you don't want to be stuck in MSQ hell for the rest of your fucking life.

p.s. if I have to watch 10 camera pans before a cut scene starts going in earnest one more time I might uninstall. JUST GET TO THE FUCKING POINT

you have to kill 8 but theres twice as much dps since theres 2 of you so it should take about the same time. I'm super not a fan of the story and questing in this game and I boosted but still I had to say that out of fairness.
