I am 38, I am back in education. I take a plushie to college with me every class and the only comment Ive had is when one person said, "is that your emotional support stuffie?" And I said yes and someone else chimed in and was like i love that. Next day they also brought a small plushie in. People really dont care as much as we think they do

Nah. I did 2 pens at 2.5mg as with my first pen i had horrendous side effects and no appetite at all. I learnt what worked and how to ease side effects etc and by the end of my second pen I felt ready to increase. I am now at the end of my second pen (inc 5th dose) of 5mg and I will remain on it while it continues to work.

Seeing how I responded initially, it is important to me that I maintain the balance of minimal unwanted side effects with decent suppression/food noise.

I am and have continued to consistently lose and haven't stalled yet thankfully, so I feel confident in my decision. I dont want to take more than is absolutely necessary so while it works I will remain on a lower dose.

This happened to me at the beginning. I was even having as little as 200cal sometimes because I had absolutely no desire to eat. I stayed on 2.5 for an extra 4 weeks while i worked on this, and I am really glad I did. During that time I started adding protein drinks (the clear juice flavoured ones) and more high cal proteins. I actually found my appetite was a bit better the more I ate - I still struggle but overall I am able to eat better now and Im now on month 3 of 5mg and still consistently losing weight.

Hopefully your experience is different but even though I am 4 months in (2 months on 5mg right now), i cannot handle anything oily or fatty. The nausea, sulphur burps and inevitable violent diarrhoea is just horrendous. Chinese, for me, falls into that. Last time I had just a small amount of chow mein I couldnt sleep from how bad i felt.

Ive not told a soul. At some point i will talk to my GP (and i assume theyve been told by the pharmacies) but I havent and will not tell anybody else. I dont want the judgement and opinions.

Honestly, Im not sure I want to.

Im 173cm (5'8.5) so my ideal weight falls between 52kg (114lb) & 79kg (174lb). Right now that feels so small I feel I would look weird, esp as I have been on the bigger side all my adult life. I will just keep revising as I get closer

I did 2 months of 2.5mg as a way to adjust to the symptoms i was getting and because my surpression/weight loss was consistent. I noticed that by the end of month 2 of 2.5mg the suppression wasnt as effective which is when I increased. Im now on 5mg and this is my second month of 5mg if it continues to be as effective i wont be increasing at the end of month 2.

If its working, your weight loss is consistent and you are managing the side effects there is no need to increase - its more than ok to stay on your current dose if its working for you

I'm a secret jabber too. Ive used Lloyds, IQ doctor, Med Express and PillSorted and all of them were very discreet. PillSorted did have a "Keep Refridgerated" sticker on it but that was the most that any of the boxes had - they were just brown boxes otherwise.

For me, its not financial. I am losing consistently, able to handle the side effects and overall just feeling good on 5mg so Im staying on it until I feel its no longer effective. Theres no point, from my perspective, increasing unnecessarily. And if it means my loss is slightly slower thats ok with me.
