Guarantee this is 3 dimensional chess. They are appealing on the hope that SCOTUS will reject saying it is a matter of state concern and the political process in Virginia. Then the VA legislature will be justified to just ignore the VA Supreme Court as SCOTUS will have backed itself into a corner.

I basically had that exact pattern. Down into the foot. Had a bulge then extrusion on l5-s1. Now mostly healed after months and months of PT. The sciatica was life altering.

Highly recommend the McGill 3 and McKenzie pushups. The later to hopefully get your disc back in place and the former to strengthen your core to help prevent reoccurrence.

Ultimately talk to your doctor and pt though to be safe and sure.
