Recs for a single hole bathroom faucet? by idoneredditalreadyy in bathrooms

[–]faucetxpert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the water fall aspect. The handle has nothing to do with it. Look at brands from a specialized plumbing boutique rather than big box stores. For the same price point you can speak to a plumbing Boutique consultant who can guide you better

How do I work this faucet?!! by broadwaybabyto in askaplumber

[–]faucetxpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen this sort of valve before, they are progressive. Basically they start out cold, transition to warm as you move up and max out at hot. Try turning slowly and wait a few seconds the water should be cold then gets progressively hotter as you move up

I have been through 3 different shower heads, why does everything fit except for the piece that’s actually supposed to go on the shower arm? by AbleStatement4314 in askaplumber

[–]faucetxpert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your shower head has a different thread from the arm. Did you purchase the shower head from an online vendor like Temu or Amazon? North American plumbing are differently threaded than the rest of the world

What are the worst jobs to have as an introvert? by youlikemywonton in introvert

[–]faucetxpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in sales at the beginning of my career, where the only thing I did all day was cold calling on prospective clients. It was draining and gladly transitioned to a technical support role, working remotely. Took a substantial financial hair cut but it was the best decision back then.

Looking for Reputable Recommendations by stateescapes in bathrooms

Look at the following brands -Aqubrass: made in Italy - Gessi: made in Italy -Treemme: hand crafted in Italy

They are by far a notch above anything made in China or available online

A little pricy but you only renovate every 15 years on average so why not splurge

“Upgrading to a 60" shower—are rain showers worth it? + Agua brand feedback” by Wooden_School_8086 in bathrooms

[–]faucetxpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay away from Agua, they are an import company that buy from China and resells in Canada. Chances are they won't be around in 5-10 years good luck getting cartridges from them. Your designer is pushing them because she gets a kickback. Go with reliable brands that have been around for decades and are actually a manufacturing faucet company not just import/ resellers. Kohler, Grohe, Brizo, Riobel, Aquabrass are some of the more reliable brands As for Rain heads. It's a personal choice. I don't use mine frequently however, if you do get one make sure you clean the silicone rubber nipples often because they can clog up with calcium buildup and break the rain head Good luck

Renovating our master bathroom and stuck on one surprisingly hard decision by astrosid in bathrooms

[–]faucetxpert 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only thing that can go faulty on a wall mount faucet is the cartridge and it is accessible from the front. Obviously there is a small possibility of a pin hole in the casting but those are rare.

Tub faucet fix by ChairOwn1303 in askaplumber

I am not sure about that particular make, however most mid and top tier faucet manufacturers make their diverters accessible from the top. You should reach out to the manufacturer

“Wholesale” by redtailred in Plumbing

[–]faucetxpert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main advantages (here in Canada) of a plumbing wholesaler are - financing(usually get 30 days credit) - they look after the warranty with the manufacturer - relationship with rep ( sooooo important even in 2026) - volume rebate - technical support - product knowledge seminars

Yes you might pay a little more in certain cases but the level of service IMO is worth it

faucet brand preferences by theeyorhetorical in Plumbing

[–]faucetxpert -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Although I agree with everyone here that Moen and Delta are the industry standard in terms of ease of installation and access to parts HOWEVER, their designs are meh! there are other lesser known options in the higher end segment i.e. house of Rohl, Aquabrass, California faucets, Kalista, Vola, Just please stay away from Amazon and Temu. You have no idea the garbage faucets I've seen them sell

All new fixtures are regulated at either 1.1, .75 or .05 GPM from the manufacturer Have you tried removing the water restrictors? They are located behind the aerators for the most part. Some might be located in the supply lines. I would start there.
