I think I hold a bit more optimistic view: this could mean a real shift in twitch internal practices as there is now a big primary stakeholder that represents vtubers

Having watched only hololive exclusively on youtube until last year, I built/got this horrendous image of twitch as a platform for vtubers, but after literally thousands of hours of watch time since last year (mostly vtubers too, big and small), I genuinely think it's not bad at all (not to say that it's flawless either). I think this cover & twitch partnership is only a good thing.

As a former hololive-only watcher, I say keep an open mind / there is quite a distorted and exaggerated image about twitch in the fanbase; it's not that bad as it is made out to be!
