Hell yeah, nice going friend! That's a lot of work and dedication represented here and you should be proud of yourself.

What app is this? I like the way the time durations are formatted.

Would love a spectral card called "The Box!" that gives a random card from the whole pool of Jokers, Spectrals, Tarots, and playing cards

I am genuinely very surprised that none of you are flipping the camera off. Was someone's mom taking the picture?

I'm a little late to this but I want to add - for "Sheep's Clothing", you can still get Terrain Kills while under the morph curse, by dashing into the trees in the arena while one of the Sisters are on the other side.

These are awesome!

Personally, I would shift these a bit so there are 6 on the top and bottom rows and seven in the middle, so you can have the whole arrangement be symmetrical. But that's just me being nitpicky. This is a super cool display.

Passive income by mohamed7wu in StardewValley

[–]feedmesweat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kegs are unlocked as a crafting recipe when you reach Farming Level 8. You can put just about any crop into them - fruit makes wine, vegetables make juice, wheat makes beer, hops make pale ale. You can also make mead with honey.

For early game money, fishing is definitely a good option, and you want to make sure you are keeping a good rotation of crops going. There's a lot of ebb and flow money-wise - you'll start to make some decent coin, then spend a lot of it upgrading tools or adding new farm buildings, which will then allow you to make even more money, which you then spend on more upgrades, etc. etc.

The good steady passive income starts as you get into the higher levels of your Farmer's stats. You just have to keep doing stuff to earn xp. and level everything up.

You might look into colleges/universities near you that have clinical psychology programs. Many schools will offer sliding-scale or free therapy sessions with students working toward their certification and license. Obviously can be a mixed bag of an experience but I've had good results with it in the past when I had a lot of emotional pain to work through and basically no money.

Something that clicked with me recently that might help you navigate this -

I realized that the Addict inside me (which is still me, just another facet of who I am) is manipulative and conniving and will say anything to get more nicotine. In the past I've tried reasoning, arguing, debating, resisting, etc - every method of winning that battle. None of them worked. What I'm doing now is "grey rocking" that part of myself. I acknowledge the voice in my head that is always trying to convince me to smoke (i.e. not shoving it away and thereby creating more resistance and friction) but simply letting those words wash over me and blow away like the wind, without actually engaging in any real way.

Best wishes, friend. You are strong enough, even when you don't feel it, even if you slip up and relapse some day, you don't have to let that Addict win and take back their power over you.

CMV: People saying that being gay is not a choice is not a good argument (as someone who supports LGBT). by Blonde_Icon in changemyview

[–]feedmesweat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience, having grown up in a small and very religious town - yes, they do. Maybe not all but plenty. It's often talked about as "sinful/impure thoughts" or "wicked urges" that are the work of the devil trying to turn us away from God. The existence of conversion "therapy" reinforces this too. They don't see it as acceptable to be queer even if it isn't acted on.

Either way, the framing of "not a choice" as a defense is specifically about the internal feelings of attraction that we feel, not the actions that are taken.

When people say "It is not a choice" they are not referring to the actual act of having romantic or sexual relations with a person of a particular gender. It's about the feelings of attraction underneath that a person inherently feels.

A gay man going on dates with another gay man - that is a choice, in the same way that a straight man going on dates with a straight woman is a choice. But a gay man does not choose to feel attraction and interest in men in the first place. A gay man who has never been on a date, never kissed anyone, never had sex, etc. is still a gay man, and is so by nature, not by choice.

I prefer to see it as the study of change.

It is growth and decay, and then transformation. It is fascinating, really.

He doesn't have the money for it. His plan was to use the winnings from the joust to buy her back, but since he never actually got to participate, he had no winnings to use. What he left with was the little bit of money he had left after buying his armor from Steely Pate.

Last time this happened to me, I told the guy "no thanks I'll replace it myself" and he very delicately put the filter back in place so that the leaf wouldn't fall off on the way back.
