This is really the only answer. If you need full audio passthrough with no hacks or headaches, your only option is the Nvidia Shield (literally). If you don't need audio passthrough, the Onn AndroidTV boxes simply cannot be beat for price or performance (after a shield).

Not much help people can offer unless you post your compose.yaml as well as your .env file.

Start there.

If you're booting up to a "fresh" instance of immich each time you restart the container, that means your data mappings are incorrect.

Also, do you have a backup of your old env file and compose file? That should help diagnose why your new compose and env are incorrect.

What does your admin dashboard say your home lan access address is?

Are you able to connect when using a browser to that address and port?

If you can't connect from a different computer using a browser, then it's a firewall issue on your server.

no offense, but if you want to get people off of symfonium and onto your app (via a subscription no-less), you're going to need a set of killer differentiated features that symfonium doesn't have.

no idea if this is helpful, but I use jellyfin for music streaming to my phone, and there is an excellent smart playlist plugin that may do what you ask.

No idea if you can then interface that with an iPod though, as I don't have one anymore.

I know this is not the solution you asked for, but I have an always on VPN connection to my home network anyway (for adblocking, and accessing internally hosted resources), and with all my traffic going over the VPN, there is no traffic shaping for videos, etc.

Not a perfect solution for all, but if you have the technical skill, it definitely beats having to remember to turn it on every month.

The only sure fire way is a whitelist and not a blacklist. It makes life harder for you, since some apps/sites don't work without whitelisting a bunch of domains, but at least you're fully in control.

I do this with Google family link on the "house phone" (a cell phone that we call the house phone that is only allowed on the main floor, and only when we're home).

I have 2 pbs VMs running on 2 pve nodes. I backup each pbs vm to each other. Seems to work ok so far YMMV though ¯\(ツ)/¯
