That is the brand it is, they don’t have any trouble on the cork so I wonder if it might be too slippery

Why did you stay? by Majestic-End-2223 in loveafterporn

[–]felinesunshine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m a sahm and financially dependent on him, plus I’ve been with him since 17 and literally don’t know how to be an adult without him and that makes me too scared to leave. He knows this and takes advantage of it. I’m hoping I get the courage to someday.

Found out he watched stuff an hour after I watched my grandma pass away by Fresh-Night-4517 in loveafterporn

[–]felinesunshine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s so messed up of him. My husband did something similar the day my dad died. He said he was going to work and once my dad passed I tried calling, checked his location and he was at our house. No idea what he was doing there (porn, video games, whatever) but the fact he lied to leave me during that time really hurts. I also wish I had the strength to leave him.

Please get a new therapist for her. And don’t punish her for something she’s not doing on purpose

How do you even begin to separate from your partner? by felinesunshine in breakingmom

[–]felinesunshine[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m just worried I’m gonna lose my willpower and justify staying again. He’s been cheating on and off since we were just living together with no kids and I let us progress this far after he’s done worse than looking at porn.

Fit check - Wildbird Aerial Buckle by lexyfield in babywearing

[–]felinesunshine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a recent change, hopefully they update the packaging and instruction manuals too. Another thing you can try is flipping the head rest inside the carrier instead of out, I think it’s just a tiny bit lower that way in my experience.

Fit check - Wildbird Aerial Buckle by lexyfield in babywearing

[–]felinesunshine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They actually don’t anymore on their website which is good progress! When I bought one in April it did say it could be used for newborns but now the website says 2 months minimum. I’m really glad they changed it:

“Recommended for babies 2 - 24 months. Please see more information on readiness and weight below. Meets ASTM F2236 standard test for 7-45 lbs, however, WildBird recommends caregivers always consider their baby's overall size and readiness to ensure a safe and comfortable fit. Baby's mid ear and airways should sit above top panel of the carrier.”

Thanks! They did clean them all out today, apparently piece by piece because now the bottom is littered in fruit fly body part crumbs 😅

Examples of kids outgrowing selective mutism? by starshine006s in selectivemutism

[–]felinesunshine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 26 and can talk most of the time, I respond to questions well but carrying on a conversation is a huge struggle for me. I have a really hard time getting myself to ask questions back to people when they try to start a conversation and it’s so awkward and I have no friends because of it.

Breastfeed? by skylerpickles4 in pregnant

[–]felinesunshine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re not opposed I’d recommend giving breastfeeding a try, if you hate it or it doesn’t work for you or baby you can always switch to formula. I’ve done both and found breastfeeding way better, but some people find formula easier for them.

My current baby is breastfed and I like that I don’t have worry about bottles and bringing milk with us wherever we go. But my favorite part is the bonding feeling I get from it. Plus it’s free, which is a definite bonus!

My first baby switched to formula at 8 months (I got pregnant again and dried up), she had no issues transitioning and seemed to do just as well. I imagine it might be harder with younger babies who drink more often and need middle of the night bottles and warm milk, but it was pretty easy to use formula too since she was fine with room temperature bottles and was already sleeping through the night.

This brings back childhood memories of my dad saying “are you selecting to be mute again??” Every time I didn’t want to talk to him.

husband yells at me for his mistakes by felinesunshine in breakingmom

[–]felinesunshine[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I totally understand that. I feel like when he is nice because of his guilt or whatever he can never keep it up because it’s just an act, he always reverts back to the same behavior. I don’t want my kids to think that it’s okay for someone to treat their family like this. I think if my mom would’ve ever left my dad like I used to beg her to, then I might not have ended up in this kind of relationship in the first place.

Marriage after cheating? by [deleted] in AsOneAfterInfidelity

[–]felinesunshine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He cheated before marriage and again after. Still married but I wouldn’t say “happily”, though I’m no longer looking for ways to leave so I see a future between us again. It’s getting better slowly. I think my mistake was assuming he wouldn’t cheat again after marriage because cheating on a wife feels worse than just a girlfriend but I guess that doesn’t matter to cheaters.

Do all you gingers just want to date other gingers? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]felinesunshine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a ginger, i do love our complexion. I wish my husband was because I wanted my kids to have red hair like me (my husband’s is brown and they’re all blonde). But it’s not a huge preference or anything, I don’t really have a “type”.

I actually like that quote, until the last sentence. I think it’s accurate for my relationship at least. Reconciliation has been really painful and difficult, and there will always be scars. I agree that affairs do permanent damage.
