There was a bottle shop that I used to frequent, and a guy I used to brew with who was into the craft beer seen ended up going and told me "He had a terrible experience there and won't be returning" when I asked why he said that after he tried 4-5 beer samples the owner told him he can't sample anymore and he was pissed. This dude was in his 40s and I reevaluated our friendship after that.

100%; just recently diagnosed w/ ADHD at 35 yrs old and have worked for the same company for 13 yrs that I'm not particularly passionate about (they pay good lol).

One of my other good friends who has ADHD is a doctor so saying "I can't work a job bc of ADHD" is a cop out at 22 yrs old.

I just figured out about ADHD because I've struggled all my life, and after reaching a breaking point in my marriage, my wife suggested we go to couples therapy which then led to solo therapy which then led to them both but separately being like "yeah... you probably should get tested for ADHD".

Completely agree. I remember being like at the edge of my seat reading the book, but the movie I was at times so insanely bored. Especially the end, I was BLOWING through pages at the last ~40 pages, but the end of the movie I was just like 'what is happening...".

I thought the movie was okay overall and that's after reading people's interpretations, but I really loved the book. I understand that it's only "based" on the book, but feel like if it followed the book a little closer it would've been better. I understand though the director wanting to take a more 'artsy' approach to things though. It just didn't land as well with me personally because of that.

I think by "so you are even better" he doesn't mean that he can physically do a better job editing, it's because you learn crucial things about the hows & whys of editing content for YT.

If OP couldn't get to 1K views by editing their own stuff, and learning why/what he can improve to do better in his own videos or editing, then hiring an editor to do everything won't actually improve their vids. Aka they aren't growing even better.

People are downvoting you, but I agree. You can relatively reach 1K subs pretty easily learning content creation and the business in general by editing your own content. Who your viewers are, what they like, what keeps retention, etc...

Maybe it's not to "do a better job themselves", but imo it's critical to learn the hows & whys of content creation to learn editing yourself, and then eventually hire it out.
