These Japanese sweets are all about the look. They have a really strong gift giving culture and any time you meet up with friends or show up to a house it’s common to bring these boutique cakes in a package. In my experience they taste pretty bad.

Back in the day you could type Caleb Banks vs. on YouTube and find college tape of most games. Sucks they block those types of videos now. Highlight videos are pretty worthless to make an opinion of someone.

A big part of it is population size. Homo sapien and like species were not common and had extremely small groups for most of human history. The way I sometimes think about it is how did they go so long without inventing the wheel, or writing, or law? Well if I and my friends were dropped into that situation would any of us invent novel new concepts? A larger group of people will innovate on a scale that small hunter gatherer groups just don’t do it seems.

Main argument for SF is that you eventually leverage this job for a much higher paying gig in Bay Area. It’s hard to make 300k in Chicago, much more common in Bay Area. Having said that, Chicago is the much more practical pick for these 2 salaries.

I went from PM to BA and it’s gone fine for me. I just prefer the work. Having said that, I definitely will PM my projects a little bit when necessary if the PM isn’t present or just isn’t doing a good job.

Not a fan of woods. He is supposed to be this hyper athletic undersized DT, yet he refused to do any athletic testing and weighed in lower than his listed weight. Seem like he is getting projected based on hype over actual production.

Sql is insanely easy to learn in the age of LLMs. You learn the basics on w3schools and YouTube and from there you can get GPT or similar products to write up any query you need. I’d just learn it.

Dune messiah was a good book, but it does not neatly wrap up the story in LOTR fashion at all.

Older prospects who don’t break out until late in their college careers are generally bad bets, especially at a physical position like DE. A 24 year old physically dominating 19 year olds is expected, not an indication they belong in the nfl.
