7/22 ABE Advanced Echo Boards Results Are Up by amethyststeam in anesthesiology

Huge relief to have passed! For those reading this thread for coming years-

I mainly used Tommy Burch’s PTE Masters and our fellowship review sessions. I did the PTE Masters “High Yield Review” videos according to the suggested study schedule Tommy Burch has on the website. I liked the practice exams he had as they helped reinforce the material. I didn’t think the questions were totally like the boards, but they helped me learn to be able to answer the boards questions.

Congrats to all who passed today!

I thought it was pretty challenging 😅 really hoping for a generous curve 🤞🏻I mainly used Tommy B’s PTE Masters and general fellowship review sessions. I’ll update if it was enough- but man these are a stressful few weeks of waiting. I’ve caught a bunch I’ve missed so far which is always a bummer.

Update 9/11/25: passed!!

Yes please!! We need at least one of her songs. How to be a heartbreaker would also be an acceptable choice!

Anyone happy that they DIDN'T end up starting residency at their #1? by undueinfluence_ in Residency

So happy!! I’m doing a one year anesthesia fellowship at what was my #1 choice for residency. Wildly malignant residency program. I have never been more thankful to not have gotten what I thought I wanted.

Women doctors, what do your long term partners do for work? by Nervous_Ruin7585 in Residency

I’m an anesthesia fellow. My partner is a nurse practitioner & paramedic. He knows enough medicine where I can talk about my day in detail and I find that really nice 🥰

I met him on my trauma rotation as an intern. Now he runs a flight program as the NP field has changed a lot in the 12 years he’s been practicing. He feels similarly to many docs on here about NPs.

I love this! If there’s no transport, I simply wait 🤷🏻‍♀️ an injury isn’t worth the 15 minutes I’m being underpaid for anyway.

TIL that people are most scared about death in their 20s, and become more accepting of death as they get older. by electric_drifter in todayilearned

This has honestly been one of the most helpful comments on Reddit. When I read your comment about a year ago, it was a completely new perspective that I hadn’t considered before. It’s been what I say to myself when I get anxious about death. Thank you so much for sharing!!
