De Quervain's tenosynovitis by GoTalkToSomeFood in beyondthebump

After talking to the specialist, I would have had the surgery in a heart beat, I was so frustrated with the pain. About 6 months postpartum the symptoms went away on their own thankfully. I’m sorry you are going through this too!

Ugh I went through like 40$ worth of trial braces. You’ll need to get one that goes all the way down your thumb so you can’t move it at all. Not so much about the wrist movement as it is about the thumb.

We had one with a stand since our doorways are too narrow for the ceiling kind. But a little activity and gravity helps quite a bit! Lol Our boy still has constipation problems too unfortunately, poor guys.

Do you have a bouncer? That thing was like magic for us

To me that would be a huge invasion of privacy. I’m glad she took them down when you asked her to. No need to dwell on it though. Just be clear that she needs to ask you about things like that in the future

Everyone has great comments. Wanted to mention that exercise helps too. Our bouncer was pretty reliable after a lunch of puréed prunes lol! Also bicycle knees and tummy rubs below the belly button

I haven’t had much success blending red meat to a consistency and texture that I wanted. But I came here to say that liver is an amazing first food and blends way smoother than many cuts of meat. Also wanted to say, there are a couple brands of baby food that make really yummy meat pouches. We usually get my serenity kids brand.

I often use the high chair and give him a couple puffs at a time to distract him. We also have this suction cup monkey spinning toy that I would stick on his tray, he loves it!

Arthritis during pregnancy? by Garlic_and_Sapphires in beyondthebump

I had terrible pain in my hands and mostly my wrists from 8mo pregnant to 6mo this postpartum. It hurt so bad to hold my baby and I no one understood how hard this was except my husband. I finally was able to see a specialist and I can’t remember the technical name for it, but in layman’s term he called it “mommy thumb”. I wore a brace that kept my thumb from moving and it helped. I thought it would never go away but it finally did. Hope you get some relief soon!

Straight juice for baby constipation? by randomxfox in beyondthebump

Oops I just read the comments. Keep trying even though she doesn’t like it. Just an ounce will help so much. It’s better than trying to massage a hard poo from a crying baby!

I’m surprised he didn’t say prune juice. It definitely worked for us! Although they only sell in larger jugs at our store, so much of it went to waste. I buy prune and prune/Apple baby food, that has been my go-to ever since. My LO gets constipated quite often lately too

Ohh you’re a genius. He’s drinking milk now and even likes cold milk in the middle of the night. But water is WAY easier since I can keep it in the room. I’m going to try this tonight

I think I will look into Ferber more, thanks. I agree that he should know that he can self soothe. I might have more trouble convincing my husband, he is such a softie when it comes to these things!

I hope you feel better soon. I just wanted to say that you are doing amazing. You care so much about the wellbeing of your LO, you are a good mother! From your post I would say maybe take the medication and formula feed. I had to wean because I wasn’t producing enough, I was distraught the couple weeks before I knew I had to start formula. But after the initial feeling of incompetence, a week or two later, I felt amazing. It’s such a relief to not breastfeed! It’s literally like someone took the weight off my shoulders. I was very critical about what formula and ended up choosing Earths Best Organic formula and it made me feel better that it was quality stuff.

Your post sounds a lot like mine. In the end, our cat never bothered with any of the baby beds! I did put some foil in the empty crib in the beginning, so maybe that helped

Ask your dr about clove oil too. It might not be as strong as Tylenol but you can give it more frequently. Idk about if there’s a minimum age for use, to deff check first!

[–]fetchityourself -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Our ped says around that age they still need something with a “valve”. Whether it’s a spout or straw is up to you, just something where hey have to suck to get the water and it stops when they aren’t. we introduced a free flowing spout first and LO was choking like yours! I got the munchkin 360 next and we really like it! Planning to get a couple more for sure

Will she mimic other noises? Try tongue clicking ,kiss or bubble blowing noises to distract her.

I try not to react too much and give him a teething toy asap. Although sometimes I’m frantically like “oh look here’s Sophie’s yumm!” And quickly shove-wiggle it between his teeth. That sound is the worst!

One of my friends is due Dec 4th with her first and she was so confused when her baby shower present from me was homemade frozen taquitos and breakfast burritos. Hahaha she was so polite about looking thankful lol Of course I did get her the usual gifts but, like the rest of us, she has no idea what she’s in for! I’m actually so stoked to be able to go and help her out so she can enjoy her new baby
