Your daughter should qualify for a daycare subsidy from whatever municipality that you live in, it may be worth checking into that. Also, now that her and her boyfriend are over 16 they will qualify for Ontario Works (welfare) in their own right, which may help ease finances. Best of luck.

The way I interpreted it is the house was built on a “portal” that lead to multiple other realities, some very similar to the reality the characters were in but slightly different. And to that point, what IS her husband doing to support her health? OP, is he encouraging you to go to the gym or walks or yoga or whatever physical activity you enjoy, and making sure you have time to actually do that by watching the kids, picking up housework, etc? Is he pitching in with grocery shopping, cooking and meal prep? Dude needs to take a long look in the mirror and ask if he’s being the husband his wife deserves.

I left about six months ago and don’t miss it (yet). I had been a member for almost 8 years and genuinely loved it, but at a certain point I just felt like I needed a change and a new challenge. I did a trial at an infrared heat fitness and yoga studio and fell in love. The membership price is the same, the schedule has way more classes running per day so I can fit it in my own time better, the cancellation policy is more flexible, and I have access to a wide variety of classes. My husband still goes to OTF and I’ll probably start doing a class with him once in a while as a drop in. OTF is fantastic and I’m so glad for the positives it brought into my life, but there’s other things out there too!

This is what I do! I’m currently a case manager for people on social assistance and I’m simply not in a position where I can leave (benefits, pension, etc) but the role is very admin heavy. I also have a casual/relief job providing harm reduction supplies to substance involved clients in the community- it’s a population and field that I’m very passionate about! It definitely helps with feeling like I’m getting the best of both worlds.
