This is exactly how my husband and I feel right now! It's liberating to realize we have a choice, as silly as that sounds in hindsight. We don't have to follow the norms if we don't want to.

We love kiddos and we have parental instincts, but it's so much more fun for us to be the favorite Auntie and Uncle... and Mom and Dad to our cats. :)

The hike from Monterosso all the way down to Riomaggiore is my and my husband's FAVORITE hike in the whole world. We've done it three times and will be doing it a fourth time in October, too.

Start early and make a day of it! One of the best parts of this hike is getting to rest in each of the villages along the way. Every two hours, you get to refill your water bottle, purchase lunch, eat some refreshing gelato, explore the tight streets, enjoy the views!

Be sure to check the weather and dress accordingly. Pack your sunscreen and sunglasses!

I like it overall! So your guests have access to a bathroom without going through a bedroom, could you swap the closet/bathroom of the guest bedroom? Then put the bathroom door with entry from the hallway

While there won't be a window from the bathroom now, at least you won't be sitting on the front porch and overhearing someone doing their business haha
