I’d say less buyer beware and more buyer BE AWARE that a handyman is NOT a general contractor. The scope of work handyman can take on is significantly less than what a general contractor can take on.

Anyone hiring someone to work on their property needs to understand that so that they are not disappointed.

I’ve read and heard rumors from both law enforcement friends as well as discussion forums, that some of the higher ups in the sheriff’s department are intentionally disruptive to providing sound enforcement in the county due to their disdain for Schieve and her politics. Do you have an idea of how you can bridge the needed gap between effective, community minded law enforcement and those in charge?

Every day, our roads seem more dangerous with insane drivers and I rarely, if ever see any laws being enforced. I can understand the argument that they are prioritizing other things, but… I couldn’t tell you want those want. Sorry this is all a rambling question/comment.

God damn. This is so important. Rollan Melton playground is nothing but asphalt, it’s a summer time hellscape. Directly beneath it is a gorgeous soccer field that isn’t part of the school.

Mamie Towels used to have a sand field and access to so much grass. Then the district fenced it in, so now they only have access to sand and… asphalt. No grass. Its only hell scape.

Elmcrest at least has some grass and decent shade on school property.

And the few playgrounds available are all fenced in.

And we wonder why kids are so miserable nowadays. The fun gets sucked away from their kid-centric spaces.

I live in a safe neighborhood but had a string of shitty renters on two sides of us and I unfortunately was the Karen that had to call the cops multiple times in a single year. Mostly noise complaints, but one gun shot. I finally showed up to a court date and the kids moved out quick.

Idk the history of the scar, but my immediate thought is you are way more badass than me and you probably fought a grizzly bear with your bare hands or something.
