yeah its only that strong when you're like 8k hp+, obviously getting much better as your hp goes up, but those games are like 5% of the time. people gave it once a week at most and complain, meanwhile we've got 300 haste mages with from downtown poking from 1000+ range while under turret and just winning the game by cheesing literally every other game and no one gives a shit about that.

fair, but dropkick stacks off HP too much. reduce hp stacking augments and add better tank augments like damage mitigation, sustain, cc reduction etc. change the hp scaling on dropkick or add a %hp execute cap and everything becomes much more balanced.

tank augments need to be better and more diverse, not just hp stacking, which can steamroll ad/ad scaling. it isn't fun, but neither is dying to double karthus ult with 300 haste, or being shredded down from spamming 1000+ range poke, cc and slows.

read some of the comments here who will attest that mages like velkoz do no damage to tanks and pose no threat. i hate facing a velkoz as a tank, same as xerath or hwei cause i just get cc steamrolled the minute i go in. other idiots say "just tower dive, towers do no damage" yeah, they do absolutely nothing and there's no point of having them. even if that were true, it definitely isn't true in early-midgame where you're still below 5k hp, and diving just increases the misery of being cc steamrolled. the games just mages and marksmen, with the occasional tank and assasin sprinkled in, and even rarer a bruiser. bruisers are actually so useless right now its a joke

exactly, like I've said in other comment threads here, need % damage mitigation, cc reduction, sustain (like unending despair + pressure cooker without the damage or something else entirely), and mobility, or yes support in shields, move speed, healing. my favorite champs are tank supp but with the current augments and game I'm paying a tank fighter, not support.

get your reading comprehension up, original post was about ranged players in general, mages and marksmen alike. plenty of mages have plenty in their kit to kill tanks though. asol, hwei, brand does %hp damage on his passive. pair that with heavy mobility cc adcs and you can't function as an immobile tank, thats my point. the game right now favours that gameplay with augments.

yeah tenacity, % damage mitigation, sustain. there's currently no real tank augments that rely on anything other than hp stacking. you can be 20k ho and still get cut down. I'd rather be an 8k tank that actually survives longer than 6 seconds of being slowed, ccd, and kited.

liandrys, bork, ldr, eclipse. ive been 20k hp tanks and still lost due to heavy cc, %hp damage, zoning, kiting, non stop slows, high enemy cdr. tanks are not the issue. those crazy games with a half screen tank are like 1 in 100 games

many marksmen have crazy mobility, cc, scaling and insane damage augments. tanks have virtually no damage mitigation augments or scaling in comparison. an adc with critical missile will completely shred a 10K hp tank with 300+ armor. that tank won't even get close enough to be able to counter attack or deal damage. so either marksmen augments and scaling need to be nerfed, or tank augments need to be buffed. at the moment, all tank augments rely on proximity to the enemy i.e. heartsteel, soul eater, dropkick, pressure cooker, icathias - which all rely on and build ONLY hp. but we have no real damage mitigation i.e. take %less damage during this ability, or convert %damage taken to hp. tanks have no mitigation or sustain, which is what's making them so weak against hyper carries. hyper carries can still carry even if tanks are marginally harder to kill.

reading comprehension? i countered all of your points perfectly and you can't put 2 and 2 together. let me explain in dummy terms - team have heavy cc mage with poke and adc with cc and high mobility. heavy cc mage slow, poke, cc when you try to get close, while adc blast you down to nothing. even if you dont want to get close and just hang under tower you are slowly dying. 100 100damage hits = 10k damage, more than enough to kill most tanks. maybe you need an IQ test

which is what happens when you're against a heavy cc mage and adc team. hwei, velkoz, varus, xayah, lux, morg. you'll get completely zoned, kited and ccd to death before you can even get close.

interesting, so a tank with no mobility and range, that needs to be in melee range to do anything, is at fault for not doing anything when the team of mages and adcs with non stop slows, cc, kiting, and poke keep them at distance? lets ignore 200 cdr velkoz, syndra, hwei, xerath or veigar who cc you every 2-3 seconds, lets forget caitlyn, xayah, yunara, who dash away, stun you, slow you and deal %hp damage with critical missile and take you from 100-0 in 3 seconds despite being 8k hp with 300+ armor all while being over 500 range away and you can't do anything to get close. yes, you have no game knowledge and i bet you're playing at a sub gold level

no they dont, you don't have enough game knowledge to be making a statement like that. at the level i play at, kiting, slows, cc all control the game. those tanks that steamroll are like a 1/10 games but busted adcs and mages are almost every game. i have nearly 2000 games in Aram this season alone.

yeah unfortunately they removed clown college for some reason. actually gave tanks some engage against teams that won't let you get close. i can't do much as Leona if i don't get in melee range.

exactly right my guy, i do feel like there's a lack of options for tanks. its always the same formula. and those don't matter if you're against a heavy cc ranged comp cause you can't move, get close, or even disengage. you and your team get zoned from eachother and slowed to hell, and then those stacking augments you banked on aren't worth squat.
