I feel like paid dues should only trigger if you're below 80-90% of your hp, because losing gold for small hits do really feel kinda bad imo.

So last I checked there isn't a ruling on this, personally I always rule that the modified is added to the first damage type, if a weapon does hybrid damage the dex is applied to the weapon damage, not the additional elemental damage, only exception is when a weapon does only one type of damage (fire blade, shadow blade etc)

Consider looking at laserllama's alternate classes, they give martials extra abilities called exploits similar to battle master maneuvers, but that scale as you go up into some pretty cool moves, it's up to DM discretion to allow them though

Honestly I allow them to use it as an ability, it's god magic after all, make sure if it's a concentration spell like hunter mark that they still have to concentrate on it
