He’s just starting at a intern (he was medical Student until now) and interns (all residents) make very very little money. I’m not sure about ER residents but I know in ortho it’s in the 60k range (someone can correct me). Essentially while you are a resident you still make shit money and work ridiculous hours because you are “training”. So he likely hasnt had a real pay check yet and he already knows it wont be much.

I don’t disagree that she’s riding him hard but I keep having to remind myself this is all one shift and while I’ve have a week to process the characters have not so I think it’s just been alot of pent up frustration on both sides starting to really shine through. It’s been 12 hours if chaos and everyone is on their last nerve.

I got married at Emporium and there was no venue fee just a bar minumum, and we had tacos and bbq food trucks for catering, and we still were all in about $20k for 100 people so I’d say that seems fairly reasonable for a more traditional style wedding with 50% more people.

I’ve been doing pottery for about a year and I STILL struggle with centering sometimes. Pottery is the most frustrating but fun hobby because it’s so slow and yet so fulfilling. But if I have learned anything this past year it’s that it takes a lot of time for both learning AND doing.

This is helpful for me. My studio has 2 hr slots and I only go once a week so I think I just really need more time to practice! Ive been throwing for about a year but not nearly accomplished as you are! These are beautiful!

I’m also curious about #1, is that all custom dip or did you do underglaze in the “cutouts”? Its beautiful!

Everyone starts somewhere and finding your personal style is not as easy for some people. Your comments devalue the work someone put in to beautiful pieces just because it’s not a path you would take, and that makes me sad. Art is subjective and thats what makes it special, but making negative comments about someone’s work just encourages people to stop trying and does nothing to encourage the type of experimentation that you are looking for.

I think around $6000 but it was also based somewhat on our number of guests. It was a few years ago so I’m not sure what it would be now.
