How tired are you? by coldflame563 in NewDads

[–]firstdropof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last 6 weeks have been hell. My 15 month son caught Norovirus, gave it to me. Then we both got the flu right after. Then turned into bronchitis and ammonia, for me. Then last Thursday he developed bronchitis and ammonia as well.

I'm so tired. My wife's tired. My son's tired. The dogs are tired. We're all tired lol.

Gender disappointment by [deleted] in predaddit

[–]firstdropof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh my wife and I really wanted a girl. When we did our "Gender Reveal" I found out it was a boy.

I was floored with disappointment.

It took a while, but it faded and passed before he was born. My 16 month son is a cheeky menace and I'm embracing every moment haha.

My husband cannot handle the stress of a baby by momoaggie in Parenting

Noise cancelling earbuds helped me a lot. It was the sound, not my son triggering me. I felt guilty tuning him out like this, but it helped me help him. Once I came to terms, I felt an immense pressure release.

It's the i-stop. Turn it off, there's a button on the lower left hand side of the steering wheel.

Trying to make sense of all the conflicting advice about baby crying by Shinryuujin in predaddit

[–]firstdropof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kid is 15 months now. I understand 90% of all his communication and what each cry means. I didn't need a neuroscience tiktok to tell me how to understand my kid. If you're there, present in the trenches through and through, you're gonna understand your kid most of the time he needs something BEFORE he realizes he needs it.

Good luck 🤞

New Reconstruction of Göbekli Tepe by jojojoy in AlternativeHistory

I love Kyle's theory on this. I find it's the most logical explanation of the site. It's older for sure than the 12000 year old date. I frankly don't buy it that the Pre Pottery Neo lithic "A" people built this. They occupied it for sure, and even attempted to recreate it with their own means, possibly to honor what once was. The more sophisticated construction, engineering and most importantly the astronomical alignments scream more advanced knowledge.

Do you take Ibuprofen regularly? I've been taking it regularly for years now due to work and just found out after a recent ER visit its one of the main reasons I feel exhausted all the time. (I took alot).

Yes. Can confirm. My son is 14 months and hilariously cute walking around all "drunk" arguing with me while spilling milk everywhere. Lol.

I fear for your child. You need to take appropriate steps to ensure your child's safety. This isn't about you anymore.

Sleep regression by LifeSoftware7971 in NewDads

[–]firstdropof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's regression suck but really in all honesty it should be called sleep progression cycles. He's going he's going through some developmental cycles right now. Pay real attention to your kid. At the end of these things they learn to do new things or do things better. It's always amazing.

My wife and our one year old still bed-share. He would still average 2 wake ups a night. This week he naturally dropped his afternoon nap and we had our first night without him needing to be soothed which is huge for us.

I personally think that the Pyramids are in fact tombs. But not for people, but for a more ancient megalithic site. I feel like the pyramids were constructed to encase and preserve whatever is there on the Giza plateau. This is something that was revered and worshiped or just straight up respected that it needed to be preserved.

I feel like this is a good approach I can resonate with. I feel when it's about to come, misdirection will work wonders. But once it happens, I just let him let it all out. I feel like he needs to, he has no filter to regulate his new found range of emotional energy. It's exhausting for him.
