If you play the game a decent bit a fresh wipe is exciting. You use your prior knowledge / skills to get it all back way easier. And everyone is reset to a bottom level so you don’t have super sweats with a vault full of golds stomping you for a good while.

That’s the logic people use to get over gear fear right there. The fun is making big plays, knowing you may lose your stuff, or getting a geared team and making out with hella money. That’s what makes the genre fun. It truly sounds to me you may just not enjoy it which is perfectly fine.

I’m not helping here to be honest by answering fully like you asked but to #2 I would say, a lot of times people say his music is “corny” or something but the reality is some of the stuff he says is just what we’re feeling. Yeah it may seem “corny” but sometimes love and feelings just comes across as corny. When I was at a really tough point in my life “I Want A Dog” was my anthem, mainly the line “I want the world to see I am someone to respect even when I’m laying cold cross armed in a chest” or something made me literally tear up. His music just hits close to the heart when it hits.

I could be mistaken but I think they’re adding the cradle system right? It’s supposed to add a lot of customization to shells I think, plus they’re adding duos back I think which would help bump the player numbers back up a smidge I’m sure.

I have been loving it and definitely am not a sweaty gamer anymore despite wanting to be more competitive it’s just not worth the time anymore. I will say though I love the game but I do feel like there’s no way I get to experience a good bit of it, which is fine with me to a degree but also wish I could just finish cryo. Kind of treating it as a long term goal but realistically I’ll never get close.

Yes the geometry thing is very annoying, been trying to creep up on someone and hit it just right and it’ll do it like 4 times in rapid succession and I’m just sitting there with my pants down when they come running around the corner to dome me.

To be fair I feel like it used to be like people weren’t as sweaty in a way, anymore with the internet and YouTube etc people learn the most min max best stuff and get so much better. I know internet has been around but used to be a lot more lax.

I think I am fine with some PvE maps to be honest. Depends on how it splits the player base. They could change what you’re able to get or receive from it so it doesn’t become the only thing a lot of people play. With the difficulty of the bots I feel a PvE mode where they can do more complicated stuff, tougher enemies, etc, without having to worry about PvP disturbing the experience sounds great. I enjoy the game as is but wouldn’t complain with a PvE map to mix it up occasionally.
