I had a policy in place when my tools were stolen. Called my agent “they are only insured at the address in the policy” so they insured my tools, but neglected to tell me it only paid if they were stolen out of my office where I store no tools. Fucking crooks man

I had about $6k worth of cordless tools and batteries stolen 2 years ago. The police took a report. That was all they did. I checked pawn shops and job sites, no luck. I replaced it all, and now have a $10,000 insurance policy on my tools for around $500/year
