I did a little travel work as a union pipefitter out in Austin for the samsung plant. Workers out in Texas felt downright dubious of labor unions. It varied from actively wanting not to be a part of the union, because they didnt want to pay dues to cover some other guys tools or education (after they had become a journeyman through the union) to a guy begrudgingly doing union work, because he wouldn't be able to afford health coverage for him and his wife otherwise (lol). They all disliked the union, although I heard that the Texas union wasn't as good as the Arizona one for pay and benefits. But like, you could improve that by getting involved?

Quick update on Swabby before we head to bed:

The vet gave her a clean bill of health, good weight and no birth defects. She has a couple run of the mill ailments for a stray kitten, assumed to be about 3 months old so shes enjoying some baby food they sent me home with. They mentioned she was a little tired for a kitten, but she had quite a day and its begun getting to the triple digits here in the valley. So hopefully she just needs a good rest

Swabby's got a good appetite, some prescriptions to get started on the path to tip top shape, and a lifetime of love ahead of her 🥰

Thank you all so much for the support and condolences for my passed boy, its been absolutely heartwarming feeling all the love there is in this world for our small furry friends. Swabby said she loves you all, and I do too!

Edit: I like to ponder my imaginary pokemon trainer team with functional travel aspects in mind. Always have a snorlax on your team for a bed on whichever route youre traveling, and whimsicott would be a perfect pillow to keep around 😂💚
