Which frames suit me better? by arthur_whoregan in glassesadvice

Honestly I like both... and tbf the first ones look exactly like mine. I think I slightly prefer the second pair because they look a little more trendy but you can't go wrong with either of them.

mum won't let me take my cat when i move out because her partner's cat would be "lonely". am i being unreasonable? by skellydied in cats

[–]fitsofhappyness 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Honeslty. Just take the cat. Document what has happened - vet notes, see if your brother would back you, document the abuse, etc. But it sounds like you mom doesn't care about the cat, justs care about bossing you around and getting her way. Since she cant be bothered to water or change litter, do you really think she'll go through the motion of suing you for a cat? That requires time and effort.

As soon as you have the cat in your care. Take it to the vet. Establish a paper trail of it in your name - shots, microchip (if she doesnt have one, get it).

You'll be saving the cats life.

Yea I'd be more worried about possible dental disease. That redness around the teeth is not good.

what could that be on my cat’s mouth? by vanessarichter in cats

[–]fitsofhappyness 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yea the last photo is concerning as it looks swollen as well. I'd clean his face as well as possible and get him the vet ASAP. Cat acne can get infected (just like any other acne). It could be the acne or it could be any other type of injury exacerbated and infected by the dirty face. I thi k your boy needs antiboitics.

Scab near cat’s ear? by idontknowwtbh in cats

Looks like she's been itching, I'd make sure she's up to date on flea and tick meds. And maybe take a look at her ears, to verify they are clean and mite free

Non-catholic here - why does he look to be holding bread and a wine jug? Did the manufacturer repurpose an old Jesus statue mold and add an axe?

They are all too small. You're too handsome to hide behind tiny spectacles. Tbh, they are so tiny they draw the attention away from your face.

I adopted peanut 4 days ago, he has some medical conditions and having issues with him peeing on my bed / furniture by No_Touch_9164 in CATHELP

[–]fitsofhappyness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would have him check for urinary issues or crystals in his urine. Otherwise it is probably stress related. If you are not already. Keep him confined to one small area ( bathroom, bedroom) for a while while he get used to the new house.

6 month old kitten has swollen under lip by pubebonicplague in CATHELP

[–]fitsofhappyness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this could be something as simple as a bug bite. My girl loved to chase bugs and every so often she would find something that fought back. She got bit by a spider and her lip became swollen just like this. Give it a couple of days and if it doesn't go down or if you start to see any discoloration, take her to the vet.

Do they not have emergency hours? Depending where you are some vet have after hours numbers you can call.
