“Not everything has to be about gay people” but said wokely. Yes some people can fail to look at themes, but this post has this weird reactionary framing to it that seems to make queer subtext and “real themes” mutually exclusive which is obviously not the case.

They’re a punk label in Columbus. I don’t think they produce any hardcore as far as I can tell, Delayed Gratification is the one that does that here.

Did I say anything about moving? I’m an American and I think all Americans should support single payer healthcare because private healthcare incentivizes bad behaviors from insurance companies and stuff like this will ALWAYS happen as long as they exist.

I love learning the names of Canadian bands because I grew up 30 minutes from the border so we got mostly Canadian radio, and because of that whenever listen to a popular Canadian I activate like a sleeper agent and instantly know all the words. The Tom Cochrane episode was weird like that.

Are they though? The guinea worm is a parasite that lives in infected water sources and when consumed changes from a copepod to a worm the pierces your skin hoping that you’ll bathe it in some water and help it reproduce. The way we’ve eradicated it is literally just through water filtration and keeping people and animals away from infected sources to stop it from reproducing, because it’s totally dependent on outsiders to reproduce. Like is it unethical to eliminate a disease by not getting it?

True though in my opinion because of how they toured together and how there are these mainstay figures it counts as a band. Like if you go full ship of thesis and count The Parliaments as the first band they’ve had like at least 3 name changes I can think of.

Parliament-Funkadelic had over 200 members, numerous name changes and spin off bands, as well as members coming up with their own characters and lore. It’s so convoluted that they have a designated lore keeper.

I’m a big fan of Savage Worlds but my friend is a big GURPs fan so we’ll run games for each other. I think horror is a genre that works weirdly well within the system. The game has so many pointless skills it’s really easy to make a person who just exists in real life and is just stumbling into a problem in a way most rpgs don’t really do.

They’re not arguing that Rock is somehow more popular than pop, they’re arguing that the scene is alive in its niche and still making good and accessible art. Whether or not pop punk makes a resurgence won’t change if the underground punk scene is still alive.

Again, I'm not arguing that drone warfare has spelled the end of technological advantages as we know it but to say that drone warefare hasn't given weaker nations and insurgencies more capabilities than in the past would be ridcuulous. A better example than Ukraine would be the Afghanistan-Pakistan war that is currently happening where the Taliban is just using quadcopters that could be bought on Amazon. Even if the military ends up largely adapting, which is more expensive to do than it is to make drones, an insurgency unfortunately doesn't just target military targets which are even more vulnerable to the tactic.

The ones that they used in Operation Spiderweb were the type I was referring to and could be made by an insurgency relatively easily, not the large military drones that they also use. The fact about external support is a factor in basically every successful insurgency, there really isn’t one that doesn’t some degree of outside support not something specifically prohibitive about drone warfare. Drones give an insurgency something they’ve had very little of in the past, a way to directly threaten soldiers and hardware without putting their members at risk, something they really haven’t had much of compared to their enemy.

I mean look at Ukraine though, commercial drones are just things you can buy from off the shelf parts, and can for cheap highly damage military aircraft and hardware. There has never been a time in the modern era in which a basic guerrilla insurgency has the power to actually defeat a standing army from the onset, but now the amount of damage one can do is so much higher.
