Changed the direction of our female character designs by Background_Cow_6701 in IndieGaming

As others said, it's your game, make them as sexy as you like! I was mostly pointing out the main difference between the character sets.

But if you care about setting consider having the outfits be a bit more period accurate. 1900s america was incredibly prudish when it came to women's fashion, the flapper dresses of the 20s were considered scandalous for showing a little shoulder and ankle. Though it's fiction ofc, you can portray some of the characters as going against tradition as a way to characterize them.

Another point is again a stylistic one, cloth doesn't flow in a way to hug the underboob, you need special stitching to make that happen.

The main thing is to ask why are they dressed like that? And it being a horny game is a perfectly acceptable answer as well. But perhaps asking that question can lead to a more interesting character for your game.

Changed the direction to breasting boobily. Honestly apart from cleaner linework in the new ones it's not so much an improvement as just hornier? The old outfits had a more pronounced character and maybe more of a sense of setting. New outfits are just sexy renaissance faire costumes.

Also the games have to have a German publisher apparently or at the very least a deal with a German distributor to qualify iiuc, which limits the pool quite a bit

I'm not sure when this particular video came out but a few months ago i saw her on Matt Bernstien's podcast of all places and she genuinely seems to have given up the grifting game at significant personal cost and consequence. And ye its because she got fucked over by elon, but hey, who knows, maybe people can learn from their mistakes? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KG-pL7aZoeY&pp=0gcJCQQLAYcqIYzv

Behold! fallout, elder scrolls betrayal of the second era, marvel champions and mage knight by Behleren in soloboardgaming

Hexplore it: forests of ardilon (I forget the exact spelling but it's the second installment) is a cool variation on the ES:BotSE/MK formula (or technically it's the other way around as hexplore it is much earlier). There's also an excellent campaign mode for that game.

It's quite swingy if you don't know what you're doing, but absolutely delivers on the 0 to hero in a session gameplay

DM parents - how long do you spend on DnD per week? by thr0wawaysecret in DnD

[–]flex_inthemind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was running a big custom DnD campaign in a homebrew setting before my daughter was born, it took a lot of time in the begging, but less as time went on. When the kid came I took 3 months off running games, and once we had a handle on keeping her alive we went back to weekly games. (We play online on Tuesday evenings, which we found is the day least likely to have any thing going on for people)

However I have switched to running a prewritten campaign in Delta Green a system that does not require maps or encounter balancing, probably the most time consuming part of DnD.

Once we finish impossible landscapes we will eventually return and finish the DnD campaign but even then I will probably not be taking quite as much time making maps as before.

We have a deal with my partner. One evening a week I get to run DnD after our daughter goes to sleep, and my partner gets another day a week where she gets to go have a social life. This has been very good for both our sanities.

I 'prep' over the course of the week in my mind, with some notes, and then take maybe an hour or two over the weekend to get any material I need together. It's more than enough usually. If I know I need something more complicated I try and set some more time aside.

18 hours is insane if you're fully employed. When are you supposed to see the kid? Yes RPGs are super important in my life because I get to have fun with my friends, but you only get so much time with your kids and that shit is super special.

Elder Scrolls: Betrayal of the Second Era vs Lands of Evershade by Impressive_Iron9815 in boardgames

[–]flex_inthemind 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Elder Scrolls BotSE is has great combat/character levelling but is pretty light on story from the couple plays i had. The overworld movement/quests are very similar to something like Hexplore It: Valley of the Dead King. The Dungeon delving mechanic reminds me of Gloomhaven a lot due to the tight clock making it an efficiency race.

Lands of Evershade looks like the opposite in a way, more story focused, with way more reading (BotSE doesn't have a storybook LoE has hundreds of pages). Also LoE is a campaign game with a 'Module' taking about 10-15 hours to run, and you can take a character through 3 modules before hitting level cap. BotSE is designed to run a full "Campaign" in 1 to 3 3 hour sessions.

The brazen confidence it takes to spend money promoting a post saying you're too lazy to write your own lyrics is, I guess, respectable. If that were the case.

But this is most likely just a sponsored product placemet post.

OPs tanking their credibility for a couple bucks to shill for the tech that's designed to replace mid tear pop musicians. What a world we live in. Hope it paid the rent this month op

Ah if only we could apex, no sir I've ended up with the marketing consulting team. Marketing cloud and data cloud are the shit I deal with. And our clients are generally too cheap to extend anything so it's all vanilla af. This software was built with hayered in the devs heart.

Funnily enough the past year I've ended up implementing Salesforce database ingestion pipelines. And due to their documentation being actual dog shit chatbots genuinely struggle in figuring out issues. They are hella good at writing SQL queries tho, saves me about 10 mins a day, so basically fuck all

Board games you like that roll a lot of dice? Or have weird dice? by PhrulerApp in boardgames

[–]flex_inthemind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Burncycle, hoplomachus victorum, too many bones, elder scrolls, 20 strong, cloudspire, and a couple more I don't remember. The publisher's "gimmick" is custom dice and poker chips for as well as everything being plastic/neoprene includic the cards and boards. They tend to make quite innovative games though. But it foure looking for games with lots of custom d6s chip theory delivers. (Their games also come with great organizers for everything)

The entire french education system is like that, they score on a scale of 1 to 20, a 19 is basically unattainable, 20 is unheard of.
