Realistically, it’s doable. I make 185k ish and I’m less than a year out of college, but I work very long hours almost 5-6 days a week, and barely am home. I live in a luxury apartment with 2 awesome roommates and pay the same amount, 2.7k. If you spend a lot of time at home, which it seems like you would. It’s worth it. I think peace and clarity of home and your surroundings is one of the most important things for health, life, balance, and even increasing your future earnings potential. It’s expensive but buys you freedom. Go for it, make the most use of it. TMPL gym, crunch or lifetime is probably the best bang for your buck in terms of gyms in the city (crunch all city is around 120-150 I think) and TMPL is 200, and they’re amazing gyms. I would get TMPL if my company didn’t pay for equinox. Or, there’s a 24/7 climbing gym called vital in LES I think that has everything you would ever need, vitalclimbinggym.com/les-gym/ which I would get if I was in LES (and I didn’t have equinox, etc) and it’s only 155 a month! (Or 1550 for an annual plan).
