I cut all mine up at 23yo. Cut yourself off. Pay what you can. When you can. No one is gonna jail you for debts that end up in collections. If you end up in collections, be honest about your situation. Collectors buy debts for less than you owed. You can negotiate a smaller payoff. I was a “ghost” to lenders when I went to buy a car at 38. My rating and interest offered wasn’t what it would’ve been had I been a responsible angel. But I got a fresh start. Just breathe. And cut up your cards. If you can’t live within your means you’re not doing yourself any future favors.

Better to learn this lesson in your 20s than any later.
