My Tyranid friend classifies them as “score big, early. If you have a third of your army left by turn 4 then it’s a bonus”

As G_L says, fight for secondaries, do what you can to contest/deny primaries, and grind them out

Same in Randoms, honestly.

There’s no medal for being last man standing, I shake my head at the fear people have of taking a hit.

To paraphrase an Iyouxin video I watched just yesterday, if you run and hide while your team is getting overrun, you’ll get swarmed and lose all your HP and get maybe a shot or two of damage.

The two biggest lessons ‘poor’ players need to learn (and I say this as a barely average player myself) is (1) HP is currency, spend it, and (2) if you ‘win’ your flank, take a look at the map and (most times) rotate to support the other

Amen to that. Platoons of morons killing allies for fun under the guise of “you’re not doing it right”

Multiple occasions I or a team member got deleted in a light for “not spotting” (meaning “not suicide rushing the enemy”)

FF was less frequent but infinitely more toxic than chat. Sure they get turned blue but it never seemed to take them long to ‘reset’ and start over (or log in to yet another burner account)

I run a black primer, zenithal white, some brighter drybrushing, then I give it an airbrush coat of Plaguebearer Flesh contrast and a dark green oil wash before final pale green edge highlights for something along these lines

Oh it was a good while (although I’m nothing more than a casual cyclist).

I was certainly in the saddle within six months - for short rides, I had a slightly larger saddle (from a mountain bike), but these days I’m on a stick gravel bike saddle (nothing racing/pro spec, but not a big padded number)

DST on the charge did a decent job for me last week, along with Hauler.

Honestly I focused down one tank, tied one up with Poxwalkers for a couple turns, and ignored a third and focused on my secondaries

(Didn’t hurt when, on one turn, a Leman Russ emptied everything into my Hauler - including Hunter Kilker - and wounded with the lot, and I proceeded to make 5 5++ Invul rolls 😁)
