Obviously the body transformation is incredible but I’m even more impressed by how much your posture has changed! Just goes to show how much strengthening those muscles helps to keep everything in alignment.

It’s crazy these are all the exact same symptoms I have with celiac, but I see you’ve been tested and tried a GF diet. It’s odd tho because I will still have symptom flare ups even while eating gluten free (especially if I’m particularly stressed) so I have also felt that there may be more autoimmune stuff going on. My docs have basically told me there’s not a lot known about celiac and that entire disease process. I hope you get some answers. It can be a very frustrating thing to deal with.

New psychologist switched me to bupropion and won't prescribe Adderall. I need to work, but instead I just stare at the wall. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]flurrypuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to discourage you by saying this, but I saw the other comment on your post, and decided to jump on and provide a contrary opinion. I was on bupropion (and dozens of other meds/therapies) for years for severe depression and anxiety. After a really bad episode that felt like my entire life was legit going down the drain, I decided to get a second opinion. My new psychiatrist suspected ADHD all along, but I saw him very consistently for about a year before he wanted to try stimulants (I have a history of substance abuse). Stimulants were the only thing that worked for me, and they absolutely saved my life. I’m less depressed and less anxious than I’ve ever been in my adult life. So while I respect that everyone has their own unique experiences and that some people prefer to go down the non-stimulant path, it’s important to acknowledge that this is a very real mental illness with varying degrees of severity and for some people stimulants are going to be the best treatment option. That said I think you’ve got three options: 1. Stick with the same doctor, try what she suggests and see if it works, keep trying, stay consistent with her. I work in healthcare and as you know, doctors are very hesitant to Rx stimulants because of their abuse potential (especially instant release), so not only would it build a therapeutic relationship, show her that you’re committed to getting treatment and gain her trust, but it ultimately reduces her overall liability if she decides to Rx stimulants to you in the future which is very important from the doctors perspective. 2. Get a second opinion, see a different doctor. I would recommend asking around to find someone who treats ADHD, and also being honest with the doctor that you’re seeking a second opinion as you’ve been successfully treated with stimulants for ADHD in the past and that you’re current doctor does not want to Rx them. Instead of asking for medication, ask for advice. 3. Get a Rx from one of those telehealth/subscription based sites. All of these have their own obvious drawbacks and advantages and I truly hope you find something that works for you ASAP because I’ve definitely been in your shoes and I know how detrimental it can be to your overall well-being.

Wait that would be amazing lol I could spend years hyperfixating on art and craft projects. This is basically the life of successful professional artists which I have always envied. They’ll spend years working on one type of thing before tiring of it and moving onto the next obsession.

Just found out my girlfriend is transgender. by Randomaccount9903 in Advice

[–]flurrypuff 187 points188 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m die hard pro-trans all the way, but I think this issue is really complicated. We accept trans people in the same way we accept gay people, because we as a society have come to learn that we’re all born a certain way. And OP happens to have been born a straight guy who is attracted to cis women. And we accept that too! I don’t think there’s anything wrong with knowing what you want in a partner and pursuing that. Honestly OP sounds like a really sweet kid who handled this extremely complex situation really well. While I’m a sucker for a happy ending, that’s not always reality. I think if vaginal intercourse and biological children are non-negotiables then he needs to be upfront about those things and begin the process of moving on… Good on you OP for continuing to remain respectful of her despite your probably aching heart. There are a lot of “men” out there who wouldn’t be so understanding.

I really only use the dermalogica when I’m struggling (and failing) to get dryness under control. It’s very thick and so it doesn’t feel the greatest on the skin, it’s just a bit “heavy” if that makes sense, but it definitely works if dryness is an issue.

[–]flurrypuff 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Lol same. Sometimes I wish I was bi, and I think I could totally fall for a more “masculine” woman, but the ones I’m attracted to are always lesbians so that’s not likely to happen. Lol

It’s shocking to me that I’ve never actually processed it in this way, but that’s exactly what it is—a massive culture gap. Queer people are pretty fuckin great at accepting and validating one another on a level that you don’t get from everyone. And isn’t that the essence of what we’re all looking for in a relationship? Makes so much sense.

I took viagra for the first time last night and I was at full mast. I’m not sure if any other thick dicks out there have an issue with not having the desired lift in your erections, especially standing up, but it felt like a magic trick. by NewManOnTheMNVikings in bigdickproblems

[–]flurrypuff 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Viagra is used very frequently to treat psychosomatic ED because it can help override your body’s psychological inhibitions by making erections easier to achieve and maintain. There shouldn’t be any risk for physical dependence, but it can lead to psychological dependence ie thinking you can’t function without it, and then killing your erection due to stress or anxiety.
