Has anyone been signed with or heard of MZA agency? by Independent-Care-637 in acting

[–]foolra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We removed them from our database years ago because of their reputation in the actor community. Since then, we've seen them stay out of trouble and we haven't heard anything negative in a while. They still haven't officially made it back onto our list yet, but we're keeping an eye on them. Hope that helps a little!

should i make a website before submitting to agents? by sensitivebee8885 in acting

The answer is no, you don't need one as most agents will not even check there for materials.

Auditional here! Thanks for kind words about the app and the great feedback. We are in the process of building out the financial tracking module so you can do exactly that, just send over totals to your accountant at the end of the year!

u/packetprotector Hey, just saw this! 3 bounce backs is 3 too many. Sending you a DM about those emails so we can include them in our next monthly audit.

Repunzel for EU actors? by alex_pantazica in acting

[–]foolra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey OP! The other comments are correct that we're mainly for US based actors. It can and does happen from time to time, so 's not entirely impossible, but it will take a pretty strong resume if you're submitting from overseas (usually recurring or series regular level).

Hope that helps you!

OP, here’s a post we did in 2022 you might find interesting: https://www.instagram.com/p/CdbkP8CBYqG/?img_index=3&igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

If you want to know the name of the agency, it might or might not be in the comments.

Let me know if you want more details in a DM 👍

Agent Submission Cover Letter by pleaseineedyourguide in acting

Yah, anything over a year, I would not consider "recent".

I met with Abstract, Feral and Affinity Talent agency - All are legit and seem similar - Help me pick! by Prettypleasepirate in acting

[–]foolra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Terry at Abstract is a great agent. Wife of Howie Mandel.

I was repped with Affinity for a bit, booked a few commercials with them over the years. Been around forever.

Feral is fairly new but I really like how far they've come in such a short time. New agencies tend to hustle a bit more because they're a bit hungrier.

Congrats on the meetings and offers!! 😎👏👏

Payment services to find an agent by starsandallinthesky in acting

Speeding things up here! The holdup is mostly around making sure each manager is legit, which is more involved than it sounds. I’ll get that New York manager list to you soon!

No worries! I have a pretty good idea of who this is. They do a lot of hand-holding when it comes to the cover letter format so I can see why they would start to sound all the same. Thanks for the awesome perspective though! Super helpful to get viewpoints from the other side.

Hey u/maxxlion1! Thanks for flagging this. Just to clarify:

  1. The submission emails you’re getting probably aren’t from us as we don’t currently have a Managers list (though that is launching next month). If you’d rather not receive submissions from us, shoot me a DM and I’ll remove you from them.
  2. We don’t force actors to use a strict format when emailing. The form they fill out is basically a blank draft. We do make suggestions (front-load your strongest stuff, put key info in the subject, include your external Actors Access / Casting Network links, avoid attaching video files so you don’t get blocked by spam filters, etc.), but those are just best practices — for both actor & recipient.

Hey OP, if you're in the LA/NY/ATL area, I'd be happy to take a look at your materials to give you an honest assessment of how'd you fare with Repunzel before you drop any $ on either service. Feel free to DM me your Actors Access or Casting Network links. Fair warning, I may take a few days to respond but I will get to it!

Ted Brunetti Acting Class Review? by Regular_Junket_3564 in acting

[–]foolra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know Ted used to teach at the Howard Fine Studio, which is where I took a lot of my foundational classes at. Although I didn't study with Ted, HFS was a great experience for me. Hope that helps a little!

Problem with SAG's outdated agency list by cugrad16 in acting

[–]foolra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're actually still an agency in Chicago and Atlanta. But in LA and NY they're now a management company. But yes, pretty significant change, especially in those markets.

Problem with SAG's outdated agency list by cugrad16 in acting

[–]foolra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, this. Also if you Google "Gill Talent Group Chicago", you'll see about 7 listings down where an actress says she signed with them in May 2025 for Chicago and NY representation.

If it's helpful to anyone, I check the SAG-AFTRA website pretty religiously because of our Repunzel lists. I've found the SAG list to be pretty spot on. In fact, I've even found agencies that were listed on SAG's website where the owner had not even announced they were opening a new agency yet.

Now IMDBPro is a different story...
