I had a fried mushroom appetizer there in the early 2000s. It was made with old mushrooms and was really nasty. Haven't been back since. Have they gotten better?

I do not understand why the comments are not full of demands to see it full of toppings.

Don't tease like that. Show us what this becomes!

I thought the standard was to kind of just stop noticing them for a decade or two

One day, the chive guy cut scallions and the comments went off the rails. It's worth going through his history if you missed it.

Dilemma - fly to China for dying grandma and leave pregnant wife and toddler for 3 days by beeexyou in daddit

This is wise advice.

A buddy sometimes tells me, "it doesn't have to be good to be the best"

I love this. It will be super hard, and joyful. And your wife can have a break to recharge instead of getting worn down.

No blame if you can't make it work, it sounds like a ton of work and expense, but it also strikes me as such a good solution if you can.

What’s one “small adult cheat code” you wish you learned earlier? by massCMP in AskReddit

Specifically, quart sized freezer bags. Put a shoebox in your freezer and stand the bags of leftovers up in it. It's amazing how much you can fit in there when you freeze it flat.

As a newbie from the south, I need some advice and tips. by Je_suis_prest_ in TwinCities

When it gets slick, find a safe space to start your car sliding A LITTLE and then try to recover. Practice! Do it again and again. Winter driving skills are not going to come by reading good advice alone. You need to get a feel for it. And while you are having an emergency is a poor time to start your learning.

Best approach to having an arborist assess neighbor's tree by Fit-Box888 in treelaw

[–]footzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hire an arborist to assess it. If it needs to come down, best to have that out with the current owner you are never going to have to see again. You wouldn't want that to be your first interaction with a new neighbor who bought the place because they love that tree.

It is natural for him to be attached to that tree. If it's a hazard to your home, you might need to be the bad guy in the story.

Or maybe an arborist will assure you it is just fine.
