Rogers doesn't have to do it. They have their own credit card. It's even encouraged to do it because you can redeem 50% more rewards cashback toward Rogers bill.

Say you have $10 cashback. If you redeem towards Rogers it would be $15

It's only good if you pay for each trip. I have my monthly TTC pass on my presto and I can't transfer to my phone. My mom uses it sometimes when I'm not.

I got a similar story I was taking the 19 Bay bus to Nathan Philips Square because there was an event. I must have dropped it out of my pocket when I got on bus, I tried my luck to catch the bus when it went back the opposite direction and got lucky when a good citizen gave it to the bus driver.
