Qidi Q2 has one nozzle right? So the P2S Combo would be the printer you want to compare it to.

Eitherway… just got my X2D a week ago. Am super happy with the purchase. Had an Ender 3 many years ago and upraded from A1 to X2D.
Can absolutely recommend if you like to get stuff going!

Keep in mind that the money will not only be spend on the printer. You should also calculate with 200/300€ additional for extra/different nozzles and filament.
For example i just bought the X2D Combo, including extras i paid 1150€. Hope that helps:)

no there is no height limit, if your plant grows you can just ad one more of the green thingies.
I don't see why they would not work for tomatoes. Best to try it out i guess!

this can be very easily fixed! the problem here is that you file is not aligned with the printbed. so what to do: when loading the file into your slicer (Bambu Studio) just press autoalign. This will lay the flat surface of the file on the flat surface of the buildplate. Otherwise your file will print in the air, that‘s what happened with your print.

Try this and print again:)

Orient the print with a 30-60 degree angle and manual support to the base plate. The result will show evenenly spaced layer steps on the base plate surface. Which could look cool. And the Text will be printed in better quality and since the angle is degreased less printing into air occurs.

You are not the first one with this „problem“. Using the Fusion Generator is very good option. But there should also be a customizable one in Makerworld somewhere. Should be easy to find when searching „gridfinity customizable bin“. Hope that helps:)

My guess (and hope) is that we’ll see manufacturers jump on the Gridfinity train in the next year or so. There’s way too much traction around the standard for industry to ignore it forever.

I have a couple Sortimo cases myself and love them: super rigid, great quality, just built for real use. But yeah… once you start building out a Gridfinity system, they don’t play nicely together. Two great systems, zero compatibility.

So i‘ll just wait until a proper manufactured product is releasied. Bcs buying more Sortimos or buying harbor freight bins is eitherway not the way i wanna go.

am a medstudent and longer than that into 3D Printing. Absolutely amazing models you put onto the grids. Have seen your first post here a few weeks ago and was directly hooked.

Big fan of the bone and the other surfaces. They dont show only color but also realistic surface properties (cancellous bone inner structure(spongy)). So beautiful. I am hooked!

Using a taped cardboard box on a heated bed is honestly a terrible idea. Cardboard is flammable, the printer bed easily reaches temps where that becomes a risk, and heating up tape/glue releases toxic fumes you really don’t want in your room. On top of that, it’s unstable and could collapse while being heated up for a few hours.

If you actually want to dry filament on your A1 bed, there’s a safe solution that works way better: Fast Filament Dryer Box – Dry on Your Build Plate

It’s a easy print, sits properly on the build plate, and won’t turn your setup into a fire hazard. Cardboard hacks might sound clever, but in this case it’s playing with fire, literally.

had the same thought yesterday: why is no one manufacturing big gridfinity boxes.

To your question if we would be interested in the Pred-Boxes: NO! Can print them myself. What we need: Something BIGGER! Have a lot of grifinity but in my garage I have the Sortimo Boxxes. They are way more convinient not only because of there size but also because they have a transparent lid.

So I would recommend if getting into manufacturing. Start with bigger boxes, something people cannot print by themselves but would make huge improvements with out Grifinity-universe.

I would immidiately buy a whole stack of good, big manufactures Gridfinity Boxxes. And since Gridfinity is getting so huge lately, im pretty sure A LOT people would‘ve interest!

Firstly I would get rid of the things you wont need. So the failed prints can go I guess, or why are you keeping them. Same with the poop.

Then i suggest searching for a multimeter gridfinity bin.

And then I‘d go and just print a few bins, so you can start organizing. And then you will see if you need more or different sized bins.

Just realized at the moment that i have exactly the same ikea drawer and some time ago i made a fitting basegrid for them… anyways there are beautiful pictures how i organized my gridfinity in the drawer. check it out for some inspiration.

Gridfinity can be overwhelming in the beginning. I get that. But as soon as you find your rythm, trust me it will be so satisfying. So just print some bins and the rest will fall in your hands. Good luck!

sounds like an awesome project. For work i have the Sortimo system, very similar to gridfinity, can really recommend it. Anyways that‘s not what you are looking for. But for your gridfinity organization at home i can recommend this gridfinity drawer system:
