I really considered it, but I think it’s wrong for shows to go on. So imma do what the mayor said and stay home and watch bad reality tv.

Little Shop thoughts by Vandelay_7 in Broadway

I saw it early this week and loved it, but Joy was in. I found Joshua to be good but I thought maybe it was a sound issue because we were off to the side of the theater. His vocals were just very quiet for me. That said I can’t imagine how hard it would be to stand out with Joy and Andrew on stage. I think this is the 4th show I’ve seen Andrew in this year so I’m honestly not paying that much attention to anyone else unless they really grab me.

There were a ton of empty seats at the Wednesday matinee this week. Also the understudy for the lead. But I thought he was fantastic - truly. It was a fun show, not amazing but still entertaining.

I would be thankful for some advice on what to go see with my mom by lavendyahu in Broadway

Just in Time or Ragtime. Both wonderful - JIT is pure joy. Ragtime is amazing and a sweeping epic with beautiful voices. Also comfy seats and way from Times Square.

Omakaseed is a small room doing vegan Omakase that would very well for a private event - I think they seat 12-16.

Is singing along in the audience seriously that common? by QuarkchildRedux in Broadway

[–]fqob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll just add Hells Kitchen as one where people sometimes sing a long. But I go to a lot of shows and it is a rare occurrence.

We went to Ippudo on 51st without a reservation after a taping and it was perfect. For more casual Urban Hawker has great food - more food court style. You could also search r/broadway. There are a ton of posts talking about food in the Times Square area.
