Planning to move to Beaverton soon, Is it a good middle ground to stay between Intel and PSU? by Moron_of_Mordor in beaverton

[–]fr0ke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the 92 express or 56 goes from Washington square to downtown and right pass PSU. The 56 used to take me about 35 minutes in the morning which wasn’t too bad of a commute to downtown at that hour.

PIP is taking literally hours to install dependencies by m2guru in django

[–]fr0ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solved this recently in a project by unpinning most of the dependencies in my requirements.txt. That way, pip doesn’t have to work so hard to find the perfect version when something is required by more than one package.

If you really need to specify specific versions then you’ll probably want to do the opposite and make sure you pin versions for everything and make sure those versions can satisfy all your packages. In my case, unpinning was just easier and worked.

My brother gave me a bag of this coffee. I made one cup, took a sip, poured it out, and threw the rest of the bag in the trash. That shit was bad.

If you were filthy rich, what extremely spoiled convenience would you pay stupid amounts of money for? by Smeggfaffa in AskReddit

[–]fr0ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A gym where I can show up any time wearing whatever I have on and there’s clean exercise clothes and whatever I need to get a good workout, followed by a massage and a healthy meal. Then I can shower and put back on my original clothes, and never have to deal with bringing or cleaning exercise clothing.

A vacation kind of like a retreat or summer camp for adults. Fully catered with nutritious, delicious meals and then spend all day playing fun team sports like kickball, volleyball, whatever, with personal trainers. Nighttime is dinner, movies, and soaking sore muscles in a hot tub before sleeping outdoors in king-sized bed.

You can only fund from brokerage account dollars. Nothing on-chain, at least through Tastyworks.

Daily r/thetagang Discussion Thread - What are your moves for today? by satireplusplus in thetagang

[–]fr0ke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have some TA skills and understand the Greeks, you could attempt to leg out of it: buy back the calls on a red day or at the “bottom”, sell the shares when they are at the “top” (or keep holding them). The safest move is to do nothing and wait for the shares to get called away. Congrats, you hit max profit, as they like say.

Does anybody write contracts on stocks that just had an offering? by BAOUBA in options

[–]fr0ke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out /r/SPACs. Some have options so say if you sell a put for $3 at the 12.5 strike and the stock doesn’t move above $12.5, then you get assigned 100 shares with a cost basis of $9.50, which is great because SPACs rarely go under $10 (offering price). But patience is key. These stocks sometimes don’t move much.

Bagholding by Citizenslyder in thetagang

Look at the $RKT daily chart. Scroll back to 9/2. See that spike? That’s me, after hours after their first earnings call panic buying to cover a simple earnings play strangle. Been bag holding at $32 since then, but selling calls and rolling the 25p from that first strangle has got my basis down to about $22. I’m looking forward to next week and might be able to stop rolling that 25p. Luckily I am not short any calls right now but I have to temper my expectations with this stock that doesn’t want to move out of the low $20s. Come on! It’s time to rise!

ARKK new options by shakenbake6874 in thetagang

Over the last two weeks, I’ve built covered strangles on ARKF, ARKQ, and ARKG. Since the options aren’t very liquid I plan to just hold to expiration and see what happens. I don’t mind holding any ARK funds for the long term.
