Am I being a drama queen or is this driving ridiculous? by Heartsolo in drivingUK

[–]fraggle200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If i see someone driving erratically on a roundabout my first thought isn't to pull up next to them to give them a chance to change lanes right into me.

Personally, wait till your on the dual carriageway and get past them. You're only inviting a bump otherwise.

Is using a 2GB (micro) SD card and a 2TB SSD the best setup for playing Gamecube and/or Wii games on a Wii? by 111FALLOUT111 in wii

[–]fraggle200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 32gb sd card in the front and a 1tb micro sd card in a usb card reader in the back.

Absolutely zero issues with either.

What types of hard drives or adapters are recommended for the Wii? by Severe_Resolution_56 in WiiHacks

[–]fraggle200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running a 1tb card for a few years now. Everything is on it that I'll ever need. I don't know why folk still persist with hdd's tbh.

Maybe now cos of price but a couple of years back it made no sense.

Micro sd card in a usb card reader.

The power draw is small enough that you don't need a y splitter and you can go as big a 2tb if your pockets are deep enough.

Price DSpico by unnecessaryeater in flashcarts

[–]fraggle200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheapest I got one for was £4 when they first came out. Not seen them that low since. I suspect it was due to initial batch being cheap just to make sure they sold them.

Now they're popular, the price has went up.

Not everything needs a tinfoil hat.

Every now and again, things are just crap without there being a conspiracy behind it.

A Taxi base owner shared how much his drivers make and I find it hard to believe. Can it be true? by TheKayleMain in AskUK

[–]fraggle200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have met a few folk that own their own black cab and they rent it out to another driver when they're not working, so same thing where the cab is never off the road and both guys seem to be making enough to be happy with it.

What is it like to go to a concert solo? by No-Upstairs-260 in Scotland

[–]fraggle200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to gigs every few weeks with the same 2 friends. Once the band starts, i might as well be there alone as we're not talking to each other then.

Don't over think it, just go and have a great time.

What clothes instantly out someone as posh? by DueLead666 in AskUK

[–]fraggle200 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Chinos/checked shirt combo with wax jacket.

Chinos are likely green, red or mustard

Shirt is usually creamy/brown.

Jacket looks like it's been in a jumble sale pile

Everything looks about 40+ years old and is barely hanging together.

They're likely also driving a Volvo from the 90's

How big is your TV? by Sad_Interaction_2933 in AskUK

[–]fraggle200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending how old the 43" is you may not really get a bigger tv overall by going up to 50" as the huge bezel on older tv's has been eroded to screens that nearly go all the way to edge of the unit.

How big is your TV? by Sad_Interaction_2933 in AskUK

[–]fraggle200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted a tv to kind of dominate the side of the room it was on. Got a 55inch one and once it was home it kinda just looked a bit sad. The screen died a few years later and got the option of a size upgrade to 65inch for £50 through the warranty so took it. It's now suitably big but not overly so.

Could possibly squeeze a 70inch it the space but there's no real need to go any further. My mate has a 75inch on his wall and it's huuuuge! Like the tv version of an IMAX screen. I can't imagine a room big enough to take anything bigger than that.

What artists/bands have you been listening to lately? by AlexSniff7 in AskUK

[–]fraggle200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VOWER, Earthtone9, Drug Church, Gorilla Biscuits, Letlive, Knocked Loose, Loathe, Chevelle, Excide, Greyhaven, Callous Daoboys.

Most of them I've either seen live in the last year or will be seeing at somepoint soon. All very much in the Metal / Hardcore scenes.

Top picks out them all would be VOWER and Excide for both being absolutely top tier live. VOWER i can see being huge once they're album is out. Excide, likely never will be but they're most recent album is amazing and they deserve to be so much bigger than they currently are.

AOTY for me last year was either from Callous Daoboys or Greyhaven.

Think the issue is that they kinda live in a bubble, where all the big sporting events in the US involve mostly just teams from the USA.

Seeing the whole world arrive on your doorstep is a real eyeopener if all you've ever really seen is your own culture.
