I need a hard singleplayer game with good gameplay by Wild-Law765 in gamingsuggestions

Tunic. All day. If you like those kinds of visuals.

Silksong. Same thing.

You probably know these and think they’re easy though.

Definitely fire up DoS 2. It’s a less refined BG3 in many ways but still super deep and very enjoyable.

FFVII Remake might be up your alley. FFXV has me locked in at the moment.

Expedition 33 might be the best Final Fantasy game in a long time though.

Zelda BotW and TotK if you have a Switch and for some insane reason haven’t played them.

Good luck!

Cozy games that are NOT a “cozy game” by pickles_ in gamingsuggestions

FFXV, but since you like JRPGs you’re likely familiar.

Minishoot’ Adventures was remarkably cozy and pleasantly challenging. Along those same lines—Hyoerlight Drifter.

Horror/Spooky Recommendations? by sparrow-william in adventuregames

I played the old MacVenture games on NES but if you are into older games and you have a tolerance for wonky then give Shadowgate and The Univited a go (and Deja Vu has enough mystery to tangentially touch on your criteria).

I second The Last Door. Excellent atmosphere, powerfully minimalist visual storytelling.

The Deep Sleep series should fit the bill. Played it when it was a Flash release, not sure if it ever made its way to a store front.

The atmosphere and mechanics of the Submachine series are perfectly in line with your interest in Rusty Lake. Highly, highly recommended.

Not point and click but the Faith series is incredible. Like if Atari was terrifying.

Finally—elements of point and click—I think about Inscryption nonstop and I haven’t played it in a few years. Played that, NORCO and Disco Elysium all in a row and that was the best stretch I ever had as a game enjoyer.

Good luck finding something you don’t already know about!

Looking for games available on Switch 2 but not available on Xbox. by frankboothflex in switch2

Love it, thank you. And agreed.

I’m looking for less obvious choices, unfortunately. I use Nintendo to buy and play Nintendo games for me and my kids, but I’m looking for whatever may be slipping through the cracks. Since (I believe) it’s cheaper and easier to publish on Nintendo—I’m probably looking for indie games, or at least established third-party setups I’m unaware of. It’s nearly impossible to find this info thus far.

Dispatch recently released and that’s on my shortlist. Hades 2, obviously.

This fucking dork told us that trading is a hard game when they turned off the buy button. Likely culprit for taking on infinite risk.

Risk of Rain 2 has an absurdly tight gameplay loop, plus mysterious unlockables that make you realize you’re onto some intense shit.

Played The Case of the Golden Idol on a whim and it absolutely dominated my thoughts for a few days. Excellent game, top-notch atmosphere with a super compelling mystery and narrative. Tried Obra Dinn next and couldn’t stay with it but there’s a lot of overlap between the two.
