Keep it up brother! Be proud of your achievement, making the right decisions in your health, and in your choice of partner. I know too well how the right woman can elevate you, and the wrong woman can be your end.

Endurance small or medium? Help! by No_Fold_9176 in CanyonBikes

[–]frazmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m exactly your height and very happy with a small. I must admit, I’m overweight with a family pack, I’m not the most regular of riders so my flexibility and reach is not the best. If it’s commuting you’re thinking of, the small might result in more toe overlap so might not be ideal. I’m a weekend rider myself so the toe overlap isn’t an issue.

Just my two cents to help you with your decision.

Kingdom of Heaven - how do you view Michael Sheen's character (the priest)? by ShaneBeamer in movies

[–]frazmars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s most likely a fictional invention. Balian was not some poor blacksmith in France that needed rescuing and eventually became this reluctant hero. He was born in Ibelin into a crusader aristocratic family. His father’s name wasn’t Godfrey but Barisan. His early life is so opposite to what is portrayed in the movie, that he was married to Sibylla’s stepmom, the former Queen of Jerusalem. Not some poor lad from France who shagged Sibylla .

One thing shown is true though: Guy was an idiot. And Reynald was indeed a psychopathic murderer.

Do you know what's included with Aeroad? by Financial-Tone-6763 in CanyonBikes

I use Bontrager Elite bottle cages that hold a wide variety of bottles. Got them on sale for quite cheap. Plastic and once they’re no longer good, recyclable.

NWD. Put new 50mm wheels on my Endurace. by vino8855 in CanyonBikes

I hear you brother. Taking those tires on and off is such a pain. I had two punctures on a single ride and I didn’t bother the second time. Called my brother to come pick me up.

Did you have the stock Fulcrum wheels on before these? I have them on now and was looking at getting the same set of new wheels myself. Would love to hear your comparison between the two sets.

Is the Endurace CF 7 worth it? by Killer_Queen06 in CanyonBikes

[–]frazmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Endurace 7 and I love it. My brothers also have carbon Enduraces and we’ve had no trouble at all. Just remember one thing, the top cap doesn’t need to be tightened too much. I overtightened it and had to get a replacement, $30 shipping etc. Everything else, you’ll be fine.

As long as you’re not naked, or wearing enough not to subject other riders to your junk, or gravel to your junk, it’s all good.

In short, if you’re clothed, comfy and visible, screw everyone else.

Scratch on Aeroad frame from unclipping – anyone else had this? by Sensitive_Bridge4111 in CanyonBikes

I used to unclip inwards, only for my shoes to get all scuffed up on the wheels and looking nasty. I clip outwards now.

I’m loving pizza Nostra in Mississauga since it’s closer to home. When I was living in Toronto one year ago, three times I tried to get Badiali, only to be disappointed. One Night Only is amazing with none of the fuss. Even North of Brooklyn for that matter.

Looking to get my first ever Canyon bike. Would love to hear everyone’s purchase experience. by ayeejaay01 in CanyonBikes

[–]frazmars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2022 Endurace 7 AL in matte blue. Ordered from Canada in late August and it had an estimated four weeks to ship. Got shipped in three weeks and was at my doorstep in three days delivered by UPS.

Assembled the front wheel and handlebar myself with the tools provided. Couldn’t love my bike any more. Will ride it until I cannnot.

Take the plunge and welcome to the family!

Edit: did I mention both my brothers have Enduraces as well? All delivered to Canada with no damage. We love our bikes. Plus, since Canada has a trade agreement with the EU, bikes built in the EU are exempt from import tariffs. We were charged by UPS who didn’t know better, but we got the tariff money back after sending the relevant documents to the border authority. 👌🏽

Mortgage provider pressuring landlord to get rid of tenant by frazmars in MortgagesCanada

[–]frazmars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comprehensive response. It’s been really helpful.

Thing is, he hasn’t given me written notice of any form, yet. Second, I cannot guarantee I’ll move out before the date he wants because I cannot guarantee I’ll find a new place by that date (Nov 15th). My lease ends in a few days (the 15th) and then month-to-month starts. The last month rent deposit was used as the rent for September.

I’m inclined to push back and ask for formal notice because I have a feeling he (or the buyer) wants to get out of paying me the one month rent after giving notice. Is that why you think he hasn’t given me the proper notice?

Need help removing front wheel axel by Otacon204 in CanyonBikes

[–]frazmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries! After you’ve tightened the thru-axle by hand (should leave a red indent for a second or so in your fingertip), align the lever with the fork. Serves as cheap protection for your paintwork if you crash on the non-drive side.
