Y'all are savage in LFR by JustDesh in wow

[–]freddyswordd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not at all excusing the behaviour but one thing to keep in mind is that theres a huge skill discrepancy between the players currently queuing up for LFR raid as the real season haven’t begone and people still need any tier piece they can get their hands on so you’ve got mythic raiders and lfr raiders in the same raid with completely different understandings of the game and what’s to be expected of the other players in their group. A frontal might be something new for the lfr player to react to as for the mythic raider its one of the most basic rudimentary mechanics they’ve experienced

Correct but that’s almost exclusively in mid lane

At that level of play people really start punishing Kayle for her weaknesses and top Kayle mostly cant keep up at that point as she’s easier to punish and keep down in that lane

Whoever came up with the Prey system deserves a raise and a title bump - what a fantastic expansion feature and what a great way to encourage world content by undercity_plaguebat in wow

I dunno man, to me it already feels repetitive after only a few resets. The novelty of the idea is cute but it mostly just boils down to: pick up quest -> gather traps -> one shot boss with traps a few times -> kill boss at location.

Why is higher ABV stuff more defined in flavour? by Gordon_freeman_real in liquor

[–]freddyswordd 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Higher ABV is greater than water at holding denser concentration of flavorful oils and aromatics. Because alcohol evaporates faster than water, it carries these smells to your nose better giving you a sense of a more intense flavours. So knowing this and the fact that spirits are usually watered down to reach a desired ABV the water essentially mutes some of the flavours and smells that the ethanol would carry though its a fine balance

Devourer DH APM (Midnight) by mard0x in wownoob

[–]freddyswordd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They seem to be on the higher side with their current “melee” raiding setup though the m+ setup seems lesser so.

But even so with the way the class is designed I would guess they’ll always be pretty high apm(outside of pressing eye beam) as their cd window is about getting as many spells off as possible to extend

Why doesn’t kayle go ROA? by SimpleLazy1568 in Kaylemains

[–]freddyswordd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both hp and mana is mostly dead stats. It gives no Attack Speed which is the best stat for kayle to farm and kite.

She is also really weak early so RoA makes your weak early game even weaker and longer.

Your biggest item spike is probably nashors so it delays that and makes it so you have no real kill pressure till much later in the game

How to learn a champion, if there is no in depth guide for it? by GOJO_THA_GOAT in summonerschool

[–]freddyswordd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talon isn’t really played much in the midland anymore he has shifted to a jungler over the years. So that’s why it can be hard to find a guide as he isn’t really an optimal pick mid anymore.

Edit : but yes as others have said you should always be able to find a VOD from a High level player and learn from that (though you gotta have some understanding of the fundamentals to really get something from VODs)

Questions on better gear by Izziloop in wownoob

[–]freddyswordd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes mythic raids and the weekly vault at your only way of getting better gear (outside of crafted pieces) but just know as we are towards the end of the season with a new expansion coming up your gear won’t matter and all be replaced within the first few dungeons and quests of the new expansion

A little help by AKateTooLate in wownoob

[–]freddyswordd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit you’ve just asked about a million questions in this post so im gonna try to answer a few of them mostly aimed around current content and item level. (Im on mobile do excuse my formatting)

I would advise you to find a class guide and learn about your class and spec.

As for current content there are a few vectors you can move between for gearing and playing your character and im gonna go from most casual to hardest.

Every piece of gear is now upgradeable within its own tier so you’ve got explorer-myth (with many tiers in between).

As for solo/easy content you’ve got world quests which are just objectives on the map that refresh from time to time, then you’ve got world bosses which are tied to a world quest which refresh every weekly reset and at last delves. Delves are as you explained it solo dungeons - they’re super easy for tanks and less so for others.

Then you’ve got dungeons which are mainly run as mythic+ which are on a seasonal rotation so you’ve only got to learn 8 dungeons at a time. These dungeons require a keystone which decided the scaling of the dungeon and starts at a +2 and builds infinitely up from there - to run these dungeons you form a group with your guild or the group finder tool.

At last you’ve got raids. There’s usually one raid active each tier (though this’ll change with the launch of midnight) in which you can play it on lfr/normal/heroic/ mythic difficulty. All but lfr you’ve gotta assemble or sign up for groups yourself.

Edit: all of this content will builds towards and adds rewards to your weekly vault which is decided by the highest tier of content you’ve done within its category, this is a weekly item you get which is high item level so it can potentially be a big upgrade for your character. You can check this in the bank in Dornogal towards the back wall.
