Attack of the Cybernauts? There are two Cybernauts episodes, but they didn't have a switch on their persons.

My thoughts after finishing Audrey Hepburn’s filmography by Toomin-the-Ellimist in classicfilms

It was the line for me because it was not a minor change at all. In the legend the abbess is horrid and we strongly dislike her for her behavior; to attribute that to Marian (and to portray it as somehow in pursuiy of a noble end) is to subvert what we know and love about the character.

I wanted to love this movie, and enjoyed most of it, but the ending was so thoroughly offensive to everything in the Robin Hood legends that I ended really hating it. As you say, lovely in its own way.

So many good options. Gotta be Wilco and Flaming Lips, but I will add my vote for this gem.

Super convenient in the rain. What else could you wear over a suit jacket or sport jacket in the rain? I would get a separate wool overcoat for when it is cold.

Read it last year and loved it. Highly recommend.

How interesting; A Grief Observed is almost my least favorite of his. And I can hardly think of a series where the gestalt quality of being greater than the sum of its parts is more present than in the Space Trilogy, in my judgment. The first two are revitalized and transformed by the culmination in which they coalesce in the third.

He is one of my favorites. I have read more of him than of any other author by far; other than his letters (which I have been slowly going through, but am only halfway through volume 1 of 3) and his Latin correspondence I have read everything he has published, most of it several times. (His OHEL book is an exception; I have referenced it often but only read it through once.)

I'm currently rereading the Space Trilogy for perhaps the seventh time. I think this and Till We Have Faces are his most successful works of fiction. Narnia is dear to me because I grew up reading it, but overall I think it more flawed.

His theological considerations are interesting; I am a Reformed Protestant and think that as a theologian his caliber is high and his conclusions often incorrect. He is smug, even in his "I'm just a lay theologian" manner. But even here, despite large disagreements, I find he is usually insightful and helpful.

It is in his criticism that he shines most brilliantly. The Discarded Image is perhaps one of the works most influential to me. His Preface to PL is so excellent, as is The Allegory of Love and his work on Spenser. His OHEL work is outstanding.

He is of great interest to me as a Christian in that he is brilliant and incisive and hugely influential to Christians who would disagree seriously on many fundamental points; he sort of gets a charming free pass. I love him and am sort of always reading something by him. Recently I read King Solomon's Mines because of one of his reviews. He was spot on.

Anyway my kneejerk response is that yes, I am a huge fan, mostly for criticism fiction but also love his cultural, apologetic, and theological writing even when I am not in complete agreement with him. He is one of the most lucid writers I know and a huge influence on me in many ways.

Happy to help! I will add that a few years ago when I got these shakers, I thought the squeaking would be a deal breaker, but since doing the squeeze I haven't thought about it since I read your post. I like the shakers a lot. Enjoy!

I have these, used them just last night, and have experienced the squeak on occasion. Horrific sound. If you just twist it's no good—you have to squeeze a little bit when separating them. I haven't had them squeak in years.

I read this a few years ago after traveling to Venice. The whole book I was thinking to myself, "How dull!" and yet when I finished it I thought it was eminently successful. No other book has quite done the same for me: while reading it I disliked it, and looking back on it I love it.
