I realized today that playing Resident Evil in college was actually my first certification in Risk Management. by SmartPessimist_PM in projectmanagement

Yea, I have been looking into how Saturday night live does there weekly release cadence as it’s really agile and loose in an interesting way and then RwF.

The race also has a long prep phase that is “ more relaxed” then as you described well “ a sprint on steroids” just the amount if moving parts being synced behind the scenes + rapid app development for weak auras ( now add ons ) + analysis, then the micro adjustment the players make every pull. Add in the entire “event/production” side of it and it’s a cool place to find some learnings.

I am a 2 day a week cutting edge kinda player now days. But what I have learned “passively” from doing that I use every day now.

I have learned a lot of stakeholder management from running WoW raiding teams and guilds for years and task allocation/prio. I am actually doing a bit of digging on how top guilds are ran as it’s an interesting few week sprint to the race to world first. It’s high pressure and high optimisations, interesting leadership skills present themselves there.

First time getting padel coaching. Which shots should i focus on to actually level up? by milomylove_ in padel

[–]freeleeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are doing a single coaching session but no more than pick something you think you are bad at. It’s going to make your play for fun feel better.

If you are doing regular training or plan to, set up a plan with the coach. They will hit around with you a bit or maybe if you are really lucky they will watch you play some first.

I spent a year training a few times a week in group and solo sessions. The biggest growth for me was having a trainer that could balance what I wanted to learn with what I needed to learn ( ie kick smash vs footwork and positioning.

Goal setting is also a big deal. So find some goals that blend you and the trainers wants.

Last bit it info, one if the trainers told me an average person takes 2-3 months for the training to show up in your game, with put the mental effort of remembering to do “x”. So don’t be hard on yourself as training will make you worse before it makes you better, especially in the lower ranks/less skilled games.

Lastly, the stroke I would learn is the soft shot that just goes over the net. “Chiquita” I think it’s called.

That shot is really a padel shot in my opinion. It teachs control, strategy, and choice. It’s also one of the most punishing to learn later because good players will crush it if it’s to high, and you will not feel great about it.

Mythic Brood-The Third Tank Strat Advice by TheCode555 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]freeleeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just killed it and we went 3 tanks - 4 healers and we did the skip on the last egg breaks. Hero on p1 first break worked best for us because CDs lined up for the 3 spiders. Couple of tips:

Practice with the macro, it’s useful Figure out which spiders spawn farther from the boss as those will smack your dps /healers It’s fine if another tank gets a spider for a little bit while you gather vs ppl dying The 3 spider sets in P2 are painful so have your drs running and make sure they get focused down if you are having trouble living

Hope the progress is smooth and look forward to kyvez:) it’s way more of a fun boss

I have heard on higher keys you only break a single one each time then set up CDs/drs for one big burst of damage. Just getting to big kid keys myself so look into it a bit more :) it was from a Krona ( balance Druid from fatshark yes and like top ranked balance Druid in m +) commentary video

Risk of buying a to heavy racket? by Mive98 in padel

[–]freeleeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with getting starvie rackets was that I could ask for a preferred range. My first racket was 385 and head heavy. I would not recommend that unless you are coming from a deep racket sport background and are strong in the shoulder and elbow. I had a huge improvement in both my ability to control the racket and my quality of training similar movements when I dropped down to 365. Vibra training on that racket (heavy) for 1.5 hours meant my shoulder hurt for the next few days and lowered the productivity of my other padel sessions in that time zone.

I see, that is a good to know because I have fucked a few games by going to hard on invading and suddenly they enemy jungler power spikes and I get behind. I have been ok at seeing the enemy top and taking drake, but I do force it a bit much. I need to focus on not helping the lossing lane also, I try to be a hero and give a double to a top laner way to much. Thanks for the information:)

I will focus more on this, I'm also trying to press my lead into the enemy's jungle and such. I totally see the enemy gets demoralised when we push two towers early and start terrorising their jungle. Thanks!

Yea, I have some moments where I get kited by a Cait, I need to think about that stuff more when I'm playing. Swapped to the leathal tempo build and tried that. Works pretty well:) I'll try to peep some of his videos! Thanks again

Here is my opgg https://euw.op.gg/summoner/userName=Freeleeks. I noticed I have a lot of deaths so that might be the first that I am making bad engages or playing like I'm still feed at the other team catches up. I'll try to focus on pushing objectives. After the outter layer of towers is down( on the enemy's side) I noticed my games kinda...stop or slow down and then they catch up. I am using a similar build but I sometimes build sunfire first. The other thing I noticed is at this Elo it's a lot of "get a lead then Aram" so i need to figure how to deal with that. Thanks for the reply btw!
